im not sure if this is the right place to post this. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone. I have been struggling with my bisexuality and trying to decide what to do. I haven’t decided anything yet, but many people have been very helpful and supportive. It helps to know that I’m not alone. I know I will be fine whatever I decide but it helps to have a sounding board
Wishing all the best for you - you're a really nice guy and are brave to be willing to consider your feelings like this. It's been difficult for me too, but I can't even imagine how much harder it must be with a wife in the picture too.
@Biguy45 hoping for the best for you. Have really enjoyed your contributions so far. I respect everyone handling their lives in a manner they think is best. Whatever decisions you make I think they will be educated and contemplated ones.
Thanks guys. It really is a struggle but many here can relate. Lately the hardest thing has been the urges. Without getting too graphic, there are certain things I want to do/for a man that drive me wild thinking about them. Usually the urges pass before too long. I just have to have willpower I suppose
I can relate to some of the things you are going through. There is always a degree of confusion and/or doubt, and a bit of worry about what is the best course of action and whether it will pan out well for the future. Everyone is different and their situations are different, so there's no catch all answer that will suit everyone. But if you balance the voice in your head with the feeling in your heart, you will middle through the best way you can...and best of luck with it. It's a struggle at times.
I concur Biguy. Empty Closets has been very helpful for me too and I am grateful to have some additional voices to bounce things off of. Has made me feel less alone for sure...... I have felt the same urges over the past year. What is uncomfortable for me is the fact that I rarely had these powerfully overwhelming urges for women in my life. If I was close to one, I'd want to have sex with her. If I was drunk, I was horny for a woman. Now, I've had to (ahem) take care of myself in work bathrooms to relieve the urge. It has been these powerful feelings that have led me to separate from my wife and truly consider a different path, even though I don't want to leave my family, I still love my wife, I enjoy having sex with her, and I can have sex with other women. I feel inauthentic doing that though, because of the fact of my now prevalent fantasies (which I must have suppressed for most of my 40 year old life)
Biguy45, I feel the same as you. I’ve been on a bumpy journey accepting myself as a gay man. This place has been so informative and supportive, I cannot express how far I’ve come with my sexuality in the last couple of months. Everyone has been supportive young and old!!! I finally have the courage to try to find someone. I’ve realized things I didn’t even know were going on in my mind. I wake and check this site, I check it during my lunch break and again at night. Thanks, everyone for making me part of an amazing community!!!
Yep. A girl can flash me a smile and I'm like "I could smash you into next week and get prehistoric on your ass"...but girls rarely smile at me these days, so the temptation isn't that strong.
To be honest. Right now my attractions to women are overwhelming and my attractions to men are almost nil. Next week it could change though. Sometimes I think I’m less bisexual and more old fashioned pervert
