And alllllllllso my mother: You're not gay, it's just a phase. I went through one of those when I was your age, it wasn't for me. Oh and I'm totally accepting of lesbians and gays, but bisexuals don't exist. You can only be one or the other.
A few conversations with my mom... “If you were my friend, I’d stand by you, I’d support you... But not in my backyard.” FYI she doesn’t support LGBT people. When I told her that I had come out to a few of our friends... *crying and screaming* “WHY!? I can’t believe you told people!” Fun times... Not.
While watching American Idol: My mother: "Ya know, Katy Perry hasn't had a lot of luck with men, maybe she should try women." I don't think that's how it works, Mom. Sure, maybe if Katy Perry was bi, then yes. But she doesn't seem to be.
Conversation with my 9 y.o. brother some time ago: Me: "How was the school today?" Him: "Horrible (nothing new)" Me: "Why?" Him: "I don't like my classmates. Because they are gay." Me: "What? And why do you think that's wrong?" Him: "I.. don't know. But they are gay and I don't like that." Me: "You know what gay means?" Him: "That you grab someone's butt." Seriously.. I can't believe that this comes from my 9 years old brother. I always tried to explain to him what gay means and that it's nothing bad, and he's like: okay. After some time he started to have stupid comments again, and even more stupid than this... His friends have obviously bad influence on him. Recently his favorite youtuber came out as gay. I've heard no similar comments from him since then. Finally.
Sometimes it just takes something they actually care about. Like parents that are trying to learn lol
Bro: hey do you think she's hot Me : dude just bc I'm bi doesn't mean I like every girl I see Bro : sorry A few seconds later Bro : do think she's hot Me : heck yeah
Getting mad at people misgendering a dog but not caring about misgendering real people is something I've seen a lot. Also saying the use of singular they seems so weird to them and then using it even minutes later.
I actually did love the person changes rooms *struggles not to hide head in shame* but I mean, how could I resist, all the hot wrestlers and soccer players in their underwear just having convoys so it was even like weird that I was looking at them because they were talking XD
Anyone can rape anyone... there are these things called weapons and things like chloroform and rohypnol. It is quite scary to thing about.
@Humbly Me. A little update on the whole "Maybe they'll bake you a rainbow cake" as I suspected, they did not do that when I came out. On my eighteenth Birthday, I told my parents via a letter. At first, my mum seemed OK with it, she told me how she had always suspected me of being gay, but then she started making comments on how I seem kind of young to know my sexual orientation (despite being eighteen) and how she expected me to come out in my early to mid twenties. These days she still makes comments as if I were interested in men, and she has asked "Hmm, are you sure that you aren't bi?" since she believes that I am too young to know for sure. Also, my family have had conversations (after I had come out) where my mum has said "Well gay people aren't all bad, such and such from my work is gay and they are nice". Well I should certainly hope you know nice gay people, there's one sat next to you mum... It almost feels like I never came out really.
Love that song! She's never come out as bi though. That song just alludes to experimentation/curiosity. It's not a confirmation of her sexuality.
Yeah, my favorite by straight women is when they ask how you can even have sex without a penis. If I'm feeling nasty enough, I reply "Ok, how can you even have sex without an orgasm?" Honestly, it's not just straight people either. One conversation I had with gay guys Gay guy: Lesbians are so accepted because straight men fetishize you! Me: Why? Gay guy: Because I'd LOVE to be fetishized by straight men! Me: Duh, because you're gay? But do you want to be fetishized by straight women? Gay guy: Uh Me: Do you want to hear straight women joking about turning you. What if a straight woman threatened to use bondage to restrain you and then rode your dick while you were restrained to "teach you a lesson about rejecting women?" Gay guy: That's horrible, that's annoying, that's assault! Me: Welcome to the world of being a lesbian, where the opposite sex's fetishzation toward you is really just rape threats and forcing heterosexuality on you without your consent.
I often hear. You either blow dudes or you don’t. Implying you have to be either gay or straight. Apparently women can be bi but not men
