Hi guys, galls and, nonbinary palls. (Not my line but I wanted a starter, thanks pupsicle) I'm wondering, what is your happy place? I'm a nerdy girl at heart so mine is any game with strategy; Magic, katan, chess.... But what about you. I love hearing people's favorites so drop yours off below and enjoy .
Yes to magic, catan so-so. I love Dominion, and I try to play d&d fairly regularly, and I enjoy designing intricate worlds for possible stories or d&d games.
Snug, safe, and free in my room with a good book. Since I’m still in the closet, my room is the only place where I can be myself. Also, I love the “guys, gals, and nonbinary pals” line!
Ohh Magic! I'm also pretty nerdy sometimes so playing Magic or Catan or games around a few people I know can be my happy place. Otherwise though it's places such as the local park when it's sunny out, on long bus rides, in quiet cafes where I sit and listen to music and work. I'm really introverted so places where I can just relax and be myself (occasionally with one or two people I'm close to around).
One of my 8th grade students used that line as her opener for a presentation she was giving in class haha. It was super cute; I loved it! I use that one with my high school students now also haha. Anyway, my happy place is in my bed on a Saturday morning haha.
Books, somewhere comfortable like bed or home is good, but really with a good book anywhere can be made a better place for me
My happy place is this forest by my grandma's house where I used to ride my pony. I love it in there and if I can't go there just imagining it in my head is enough to calm me. Also snuggled on the sofa with a blanket, a book and some candles.
My porch swing while drinking coffee on a weekend morning, everything is so calm and peaceful at that time of the day. I also love cold rainy fall days so I am really glad that time of year is here again!
One of my happy places is when I'm listening to music and I get in the zone with video games. Somewhat challenging video games such as Dark Souls or fighting video games such as BlazBlue, can be more rewarding. Although I also enjoy 'brainless rampage' games such as Gundam Breaker 3 (plus I saw a lot of cool designs in the cooperative mode)
My happy place is at the dojo. When I'm there nothing else matters. I also like just hanging out with my puppy Sydney.
In a cabin while snowing with a crackling fire, 80's movies and someone that loves me as much as I love them. Currently and realistically? The movie theater
Ooh a good book to escape to, video games like Steep or Uncharted where there's some skill involved but mostly scenery/graphics to admire, tv and here on EC
