What is your favorite game that is virtually unknown? For this I mean nothing like gta, mario, zelda, sonic and anything that is common in any way. For me its Blaster Master. Another is Legacy Of The Wizard. Both are NES games. Both of them are major challenge, but so far beyond awesome.
Spelunky. I've never met someone who's heard of it. And I've never showed it to someone who hasn't liked it afterward. It's almost criminal how little known it is.
Child Of Light, it is a visually beautiful game and the story is wonderful. It is not very hard and I don't know anyone who has played it.
Ôkami still isn't very well-known despite it being released three separate times and it's my favorite game in the world. Another one is VA-11 Hall-A. That game is soooo comfy.
My favourite unknown game is Deep Fear for the Sega Saturn, a Japanese survival horror game with even worse voice acting and dialogue than the original Resident Evil. The English version is pretty expensive but the Japanese version has enough English to still be playable.
Golden Sun and Golden Sun The Lost Age for GBA. They made a third one on the DS like 7 years later but it was awful by comparison.
The Science;Adventure series (Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate, Steins;Gate 0, Robotics;Notes, and Chaos;Child).
The storytelling in Young Justice: Legacy was really well done. Gameplay...not so much. Well, it helps infact that I'm already a Young Justice fan.
I used to play this MMORPG game called Perfect World in 2007 until I moved to Australia. There was (actually, I think it still exists) a server in my home country, and I can't access it here in Australia unless I have a VPN. There is an international version, but I didn't have any friends to play with so I stopped playing. I still think it's one of my favourite games, I'd play it again if I can find other people to play with.
For me it is 'finding Ethan carter' stunning scenery and enjoyable gameplay. Completely free world with no rails ☺️ and I could just sit and look at the scenery for hours
I played it about a year ago, maybe longer. Think it was in alpha at the time and I got it on steam because it was cheap as a pre release. I didn't mind it but I kept getting killed by wolves and other miscellaneous crap and hated having to start over. one time I managed to burn myself alive by standing too close to a fire. I think that's the last time I played it lol Edit: I've just looked it up on the net. Seems like it evolved quite a bit since I played it. I don't recall it having a storyline when I played
The long dark is really good! Mine has to be Jalopy, where you drive an old car across post-soviet Europe.
Thats so awesome that others know this game. I haven't played lately either mainly because I spent way too much time trying to complete an achievement and it got frustrating.
Also another favorite unknown game (although I only play it when I am incredibly bored) is called Kingdom (New Lands version). I have yet to win the game so I go back to it occasionally.
I say Michigan: report from hell's voice acting is the worst of all. For games that are really good and not well known look at 8-bit computer games, there are so many good yet not known games everywhere, you got games like M.U.L.E which only have a few minor flaws, and is still a very fun game to play with other people or against the A.I, you also got games like star flight which was the original star control 2, an already dead game in terms of popularity (star control 2 is free online, it's called the Ur-Quan Masters, it's a very fun game). But for my favorite unknown game, it would be military madness on the Turbo Graphix 16 (or the PC-Engine), I very much enjoy Advance Wars, and you can tell where Advance Wars got a lot of it's inspiration from. I honestly like this game over Advance Wars, and it's quite a fun game all around, just don't expect a skirmish mode.
