Thanks. I never thought I'd have the nerve. But I've been working up the nerve for quite a while, and I know it's going to be NECESSARY for me to be able to get anywhere. I was great last week in regards to V, and thought MAYBE I was in the clear, but as I suspected, seeing her again made it all come back. The "talk" is going to have to happen or it's true that I'll be stuck in regards to meeting other people.
I think what you aremplanning to say is god, the line your coach gave you was an example there is no reason you have to use that line, you can change and modify it how you see best and in a way that you think you will be able to say it. If spending time with her is causing you pain then you might as well put an end to the pain one way or another. I like your friends pointers she sounds smart.
Hahahaha! Just catching up! This made me proper lol. I slept with a girl from Essex once, she used to say 'Oright Dahhhhlllin' to me. (Maybe you know the correct spelling of that square biz!)
If we are going to be honest, just about any accent that is not US in origin makes me happy. But alas, here is another area where you and I will never win...your New York accent and my Chicago accent (god even typing that I hear my nasally "a" sound) are just not meant for romance.
Ha ha brilliant. That is pretty much the Essex standard greeting. And The spelling looks Oright to me dahhhhlllin
You definitely don't want to lose your traction! So I would say whatever way choose to do it the idea of coming clean soon is a good one. Otherwise you could see a halt to all your progress and a fall down the rabbit hole again. You got this RJay!
Maybe it should be Aiiighhht Dahhhlinng Hahaha I bet she stills says it. I kinda liked it Oright sounds more Irish. Now that is a sexy accent!
I can put on my southern accent and call y'all y'all. Maybe throw in a sugar and darlin' ;-) Seriously @RJay, you will be fine. Just be honest with your friend and if she is a good friend she will respect that. Whatever happens, y'all can then talk about it like adults. I was completely honest with my crush. Things got rocky bc we both went through marriage difficulties; however , we remain friends. Does our friendship look and feel the same? No, but that right there may be something you have to accept if you do choose to share your feelings with her.
I love the plan, @RJay! It sounds genuine and natural. I really hope you get some needed closure soon. You can do this!
OMG! Just read through 150+ messages. I didn't think I'd been off EC that long! Rjay. No matter what happens you should feel damn proud of yourself. There is no way i could brave a dating site. Your tale is charming, funny, witty and so honest. I hope you find someone who can reciprocate your feelings. And as for the rest of your followers...6 tattoos so far but planned to be covered from neck to toe. Muscles...yummy! Irish accent is totally melt worthy. And my grammar sucks big time but I'd be happy for Really to take me to task for it.
All this talk of accents---ENVY! I am from the state that is long known as the one that speaks with NO ACCENT. NONE, Yawn. Boring. I always WANTED an accent--any accent; ever since I was a kid and used to visit my relatives in Southern states. So I have to settle for speaking boring-speak. (Though grammar not too bad! )
Haha why do people from the US love it so much? Yes it most certainly is It's all about rolling the rrrrr's, makes my knees go weak. Like there's been a murder with a curly wurly hahaha best line ever. Haha be careful what you wish for haha
People think that Canadian is an accent. Maybe if you're from Newfoundland or Nova Scotia. I can imitate some accents.
I watched the series Lip Service last year. I don't know what accent the actors have, but I had to watch every scene at least twice to understand what they were saying.. PS. Having a non-native accent is not funny. Not at all.
Have you heard the way we talk?! Your accent just sounds smoother and intelligent, and I can still understand what the you are saying! It's not as sexy as an Irish accent, but it sounds warm and friendly. Also, its different than what we hear everyday so that helps.
