For the EC members who are in college, what is your major? For those not yet in college, what are you thinking about majoring in if/when you go to college?
I graduated last spring, but when I was still in college I was an English major. It was geared towards teaching, but I dabbled in a bit of writing and found it thoroughly enjoyable.
I study two degrees, neither of which has a major/minor structure at all. I take law and PPE (politics, philosophy and economics).
I graduated with an undergrad major in French with Linguistics as a half major...I then did grad-school French.
I intend to major in physics, and minor in computer science. Probably. Some sort of engineering is also a possible minor, as is linguistics or other language-y minors. It also depends if the college I attend will have the specific major/minor.
I'm majoring in Human Services. I plan on taking up some sort of minor but I'm still stuck between two of them.
I don't really get the whole major/minor stuff, but I'm studying translation (from English/Spanish to French, mostly). I got my first year credited because I did Cegep before, so while I'm in my second year, it's really my first year in university.
In a really quick explanation, Majors are what you're focusing on in order to get a degree in a college/university and minors are smaller focuses you can add to the degree to boost it, normally minors will relate to and be beneficial to your Major.
I graduated with a B.S in Mathematics. I plan to get my MS in either some analytical field or data science (maybe both)
I'm going to major in fashion design. I'm considering doing a minor, though, in a foreign language. I'm a bit torn between French, Korean, and Japanese. French and Korean because France and Korea are big in the fashion world, but I'm also interested in Korean because I really like East Asian cultures a lot, which is why I'm also thinking of Japanese.
