Here's how I sleep: Terribly. Almost my entire family has insomnia, so it's hard for me to fall asleep and stay asleep. When I do sleep, it tends to be on one side or the other.
I prefer sleeping on my side. I often have long, complicated dreams that I can't remember when I awake.
I usually sleep curled to one side. There's not really any routine I do, though I don't have the best sleeping patterns in terms of how late I go to bed sometimes. At night I sleep better in complete darkness (as in I highly prefer to not even have any lights on in the living room or even a night light). I can sleep really easily on public transport as well for naps; if I'm tired enough I can fall asleep anywhere
Mostly during the day, to avoid too much contact with family and the heat of daylight. Pretty much anything works, but I always awake to a bed that looks like I wrestled Godzilla's hatchling in it. Don't know how anyone can rip all the covers and sheets off, throw the pillows everywhere, and even sometimes slice it open in places all in her sleep. It's annoying cleaning that up every time.
Seems the majority of people sleep on their sides and a lot with hands under the pillow. That feels uncomfortable for me. My hands normally rest between my knees if I'm on my side. Haha that last part made me chuckle. I sometimes sleep starfish style too. Last night I fell asleep on my back with one arm up, the other on my stomach and my legs crossed. I guess it was comfortable cause I was in the same position when I woke up. Welp, I'm a big weirdo so that's probably true about stomach sleepers! I actual just got lectured by my chiropractor this morning about sleeping on my stomach. That's wild with the sleepwalking! I can apparently sleep eat and sleep write but I don't think I walk around. I do wake up with scratches and bruises sometimes that were not there in the day. Aww, that's all I wanted to say:lol:
I usually sleep on my side and - I probably shouldn't be admitting this but - usually tightly hugging one of my plushies.
I sleep on my back or either side. I'll admit sometimes I end up snoozing on my stomach because I'm enjoying the cold side of the pillow! ^ Plus this is true for myself as well!
I sleep on either side. Usually switch halfway through the night. Every now and then when my hernia acts up I lay on my back a few nights. But for some reason I am super distracted when I do that. Like "o look outside" or "why didnt I hang my laundry in the living room" things like that lol
I tug one arm under my pillow and lie on my tummy, with one leg bent and the other straight. Usually fall asleep fairly easily that way. If I'm really struggling to fall asleep, I turn onto my left side and relax my body, starting with my head. I do this by taking a deep breath, then as I exhale slowly, I envision my head, neck, shoulders sinking deep into my bed, and my body actually feels like it's tucking itself into the bed. I keep doing this relaxation technique up to my feet. I usually fall asleep before I get to my feet, unless I'm really struggling to fall asleep. In that case, I start from the top again, etc.
I can only sleep in one position or I can't sleep at all. Like in the picture, but minus the pillow, plus a dog at my side, and so far on the edge of the bed, the leg and arm that's bent is hanging off. I also talk, walk, and sing in my sleep.
This is a great example of how I sleep. https://66.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mc4te8o4Yt1rpfx57o1_500.gif
I don't. But when I do get to sleep, I'm usually curled in a fetal position on my right side after checking the door at least twice to make sure it's locked.
I sleep with my eyes closed. ---------- Post added 7th Oct 2016 at 06:01 PM ---------- Sorry, let me elaborate on that. I sleep diagonally, usually on my side, but occasionally on my stomach or back. I move around quite a lot, so my cat gets angry when I accidentally kick her at night.
On my side and under two blankets because it's rather cold in my house :icon_bigg I like to sleep but it's a problem for me to sleep really well because I rather often have problems with it, insomnia and so on... I noticed that in my case only the special relazing techniques are really helpful before going to the bed
