Without hesitation, my answer is Fear. Without Fear, there would be no hate...and death, taxes and stupidity would be reduced to the unimportant nuisances they truly are.

The ability to lie is a good one. I think so much more would have been taken care of. I honestly believe there is a cure for cancer, so imagine if it wasn't hindered or hidden behind lies and deception.
I know where you are coming from but sometimes the same thing can be negative to one but positive to another
I was gonna be all evil-not-Genius-y and say love but this is both hilarious and true ---------- Post added 25th Sep 2016 at 02:41 PM ---------- How much are positive things worth though without the negative things there to contrast them?
Oppression. But what would even be the point in living in a world without suffering? That sounds like a reality where people would exist purely for the sake of existing, with no direction or purpose to their lives. In order for there to be no suffering, all life would have to be immortal and have no biological/emotional needs or vulnerabilities. Everyone would have to agree with everyone else at all times, because conflict breeds suffering, so there would be no individuality. There would be no adversities to overcome and triumph over, no goals to work towards (since failure could result in suffering), no problems to solve (since everything would have to be perfect all of the time), no uncertainties (since uncertainty can lead to fear which leads to suffering), no desires (since no one would be able to view their life as being worse off without something, because that would lead to suffering), and no intimacy (since this is developed through taking care of each other's needs and sharing our vulnerabilities, and no one in this reality would be capable of having vulnerabilities or have any needs). I can't think of anything that sounds more unbearably dull. But then again, if I lived in that reality, I wouldn't be able to feel that way about it and would just be in a placid state of tranquility all of the time for the rest of eternity.
