When I was a kid, I used to receive a video game every christmas and since I rarely received games or had money to buy them myself, this was a big deal for me. To this day, whenever I play one of the games I received on christmas, I get an extremely strong feeling of nostalgia from when I spent all of christmas playing them. Some of those games are: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone for PS1 Rayman 2 for PS1 007 Nightfire for PS2 The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess They're all very special to me.
Welp... since my childhood was pretty much between the N64 and the PS1 it'd have to be... The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask and Ocarina's Time Final Fantasy 8 and 9 (never got to play FF7 up until last week) Crash Bandicoot Super Mario 64 Paper Mario
Yoshi's Story and Mariokart 64. Just listening to the music takes me back. I think if I got to play Donkey Kong Country 2, I'd feel the same way, but I haven't had the chance since my pre-teens.
Super Mario bros 2- the overworld theme makes me sooo nostalgic for a time I never even experienced! Though I wish I had did....
Pokémon Coliseum/XD and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. I was a tiny nerd back then, still love those games today but my Gamecube's wrecked. Both were great and had pretty solid soundtracks to top it off, and they take the games in a nice direction I haven't seen since then. They were both considered pretty dark for their series, but it was at a completely understandable level.. AKA: more realistic story, but not super edgy.
Ratchet and Clank (the originals for PS2) mainly. It was basically the first game to enter our household along with Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon, which me and my sister were actually re playing (Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, specifically) just a couple of weeks ago for the umpteenth time whilst listening to the Ratchet and Clank and, soon, Crash Bandicoot soundtracks so you can probably guess how much we love our PS2 games here... (´∀`)
Yep! Me too. Also a lot of strategy games I played when I was younger, like Kingdom Under Fire (C & H), Empire Earth, Civilization III, for example. Of course, the classic Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and probably the most would be Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones. ^-^
There's quite a few, but I'll just name some of them: Crash Bandicoot, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker, Okami, and Twisted Metal.
I would have to say Kirby for the Gameboy color. I fondly remember playing it by flashlight late at night when I was younger.
All super retro games: Evil Zone, Dark Stalkers, Fighting Force, and Crash Bandicoot for PS1. As a kid, they were great games.
