Spring is in full swing and the days are starting to get warmer! This season change brings back one of life's greatest questions: is wearing socks and sandals simultaneously acceptable?
Not really my thing. I'm not much of a sandal guy, period; I walk around in hiking boots even in summer. But others can do whatever with their socks and sandals if they like it. They're not my feet.
I will give a prize to the first person to pull that off acceptably. Not really holding my breath here.
FTFY. People don't exaggerate when they say it's one of the tackiest things you can do. I don't think I would openly mock someone who does it, and maybe it's because feet are kind of my thing, but IMO it's a horrible look. Sport sandals without socks are at least somewhat acceptable, but if you want to wear socks, sneakers are a more fashionable and practical option.
I love wearing sandals. I don't think sandals and socks are a fashion catastrophe but I don't get it. Isn't the whole point of sandals to feel nature on your feet?
Some people can pull it off, some can't. I have never tried it myself. Similarly, there are some people who can pull off a bowtie without a collared shirt. I am certainly not one of those people.
I don't wear them together, but I don't see the big deal... Who cares? Why do people have to police what other people wear... Sheesh.
I have one pair of nike sports sandals that I will wear occasionally, but I need to wear socks with them... its more so an OCD thing where I have to wear socks when I leave the house.
I think there are some situations when socks and sandals are perfectly acceptable, mainly if those sandals are slides. The first thought that comes to mind is broken toes not fitting into shoes comfortably. The other is when leaving work and needing those darn shoes off in order to drive. lol That's all I've got though.
I wouldn't, I don't like sandals let alone sandals with socks. Which doesn't mean that it's not acceptable though lol if anyone else to wear them then alright, idgaf what other people wear.
