No. Not for this world, at least. But I believe in the beauty of our ecosystem and the cyclic balance it follows. But hey, I'm kind of a hippie.
I... don't. And if I could, I'd not think much of the guy. At least if he's anything like he's portrayed in the Abrahamic Faiths.
I do believe in God, but I think our concept of God is extremely narrow; informed by the ancient and often contradictory writings of holy scripture, or by the historic traditions and piety of religious institutions. For all our intelligence and knowledge we seem incapable of moving beyond naive ideas about who/what/where God is in relation to the world and our own existence. My belief in God is not tied up in the words of the Bible (or other religious texts) or the teachings of religious leaders in Churches, Synagogues and Mosques. I refuse to put God in a box to adhere to the dogmatic whims of men/women who have changed their position countless times over many centuries.
I feel like I'm in the minority here because I'm a Christian. I believe in a one true God and Jesus who was Man and God in one flesh yada yada you probably already know. However, concerning the church... yikes. I feel like a lot of Christians aren't really Christians in the true sense of the word anymore. It seems like a lot of them just do it so that they can feel superior to others.
I was born and raised as Catholic. I have been baptized as Catholic never received the communion though. There was some point in my life that I seemed borderline Agnostic and haven't really been to church a lot. I do believe in God but I don't agree with some parts of the Church's views.
Aussie792, even when one believes in God and has a relationship with Him/Her, pride gets in the way. I certainly know that from experience and have to battle pride regularly. Thank you for your correction.
I do believe in a supreme being, a higher power. I am not sure how I feel about organized religion. Organized religion has contorted "God's" will/word to fit their agenda for thousands of years. It's been used to murder, go to war, and persecute people. That's not what I believe "God" would have wanted.
Absolutely, but I'll admit I have my doubts. I just don't know why I have the desire to pray and worship if I wasn't created by God, because surely I wouldn't feel this way if there was no one to pray to. That's not to say everyone experiences a desire, our that everyone should, it just makes me feel happy so I do it. Whatever floats your boat.
Nope, and not believing in him was the happiest day of my life. But if God did exist, I have a strong feeling I would not like him/her anyways.
Sure! I believe in God and I know that He is out there watching over us. However, I never really joined a church. I mean, I did when I was little and it was with a family friend. I liked it and I would love to go back. But I hope it is a church that accepts me
