Religious extremism in all its dreadful and appalling ugliness... BREAKING – Several injured in stabbing at Jerusalem Pride · PinkNews It is risky to be proud of who you are, but it is essential.
Ah, good old religious extremism. Where would we be without it? I suppose he'll spend a few more years in prison until he's let out and gets to do this again. Something's not too right with Israeli security, and that's saying something.
What's insane is that they let this guy out of prison a few weeks ago after he spent ten years in prison for doing the same damned thing in 2005!. Massive failure of common sense here, one person is still in critical condition...
I don't think that was the point Foz was trying to make. I think what he was trying to say was that Islam isn't the only religion that has its share if fundamentalists. Religious fundamentalism worldwide is very militant and has caused much pain to very many people, from the Islamic State/Al Qaeda/etc, to the Irish Republican Army/KKK/Neo-Nazis and Neo-Confederates, to sects of Eastern Orthodox Judaism who are very militant, to the Rohingya Buddhists, extremism is a thing most religions worldwide have problems with, and it's worth noting that religious extremism is not exclusive to only one religion. As for this act of terrorism itself, its sad to see that the Israeli government did not give him a harsher sentence the first time he did this. Hopefully he'll be in prison for a much longer time this go-around.
At times, it's very hard for me to come up with something to say that won't get me banned, yet is something I sincerely believe with respect to this situation, as opposed to a total and complete lie. So here it goes, the milk toast version: it's horrible that this happened.
Can't we even get some salt and pepper with that? I just cannot believe this is the second go around with this guy. Once is shocking, twice is downright unfathomable.
Interestingly enough, as an Orthodox Jew, he was really just following Leviticus 20:13; unlike the Christian claim of dissociation from these laws, the Orthodox Jews don't make such a claim.
