Since Kaiser posted the Taller or Shorter thread, I figured a younger or older thread would go well with it. I hope I didn't steal her idea for a future thread. So, do you prefer a romantic partner who is younger or older than you, or about the same age or do you have no preference?
I like guys who are older for a lot of reasons probably at age 50 at the max and I am 24. I never been into younger guys and think that trend will continue as I get older. I will like guys my age or always older than me. But probably by the time I get to age 50 I will just date guys my age that is if I don't have a partner by than. Also I not here to argue my preference.
Yes, I highly prefer guys who's 2-5 years older than me. I think they have more interesting things to tell as compared to people at my own age or younger. Maybe this older guy preference of mine will change as time goes by, but for now I will stand by this.
Legally, I prefer them to be at least 18. Other than that: Old soul with a young heart. Basically, capable of maturity but also appreciates a good time. There's no real physical age for this. Of course, it can be beneficial if you're within 5-7 years of one another, just for the sake of same experiences. While some experiences are universal, it would be a bit difficult trying to discuss, say, the Super Nintendo with somebody who says, "Don't you mean the Gamecube?" But, you know, if things work out and go ideally, you'd be able to exchange knowledge and whatnot. Possibly bridging that gap, so it isn't a no-go, just more of a challenge. How I voted was no preference. I do love my cougars, though. And yes, I know, I'm terrible, LOL.
Been mostly going with much younger guys than myself, as in I've been hooking up with mostly guys in the 18 to 25 age range. The three guys I'm most interested in are 20, 24, and 19. I know why I'm more attracted to them physically, it's the emotional attachment I question. The guys I have or want to date don't want or expect anything other then dates, and having a good time. My therapist says I'm emotionally around the age I'm selecting, so hopefully I will either grow out of this.
A young strong macho man ---------- Post added 8th May 2015 at 08:08 PM ---------- And of course only above 18
All of my crushes so far have been around the same age as me, so I vote about blah blah So taller or shorter? Older or Younger? What could possibly be next? I can't think of anything.
See my brain is like "duh older!" And then my past coughs ackwardly and points out I've only dated younger guys.
About same age but leaning towards younger. Like 5 or 6 years younger at tops. *wonders when someone will start big or small thread*
I prefer them to be a little bit older. I'm 23 and I've noticed I do better dating someone older than me. I like to feel like I'm taken care of and I've noticed I don't feel that way with younger women. I don't feel as secure with someone younger. Plus, older women seem to know more about what they want. Not that all young women don't... It's just something I've noticed when it comes to who I've dated. So my preference is probably 2-10 years older.
I wouldn't write someone off just because of their age, but there is a common trend, I do have a preference, and that preference is someone close to my own age (within a few years). About the same. It's not actually the age that matters, but that we're at similar stages in our lives. That's something I feel more comfortable with in a relationship.
Same age or older. The two girlfriends I had were both older than me by a little--I don't think my parents liked that too much
I am 27 years old. Even though I like younger and older, I do have a significant preference for younger. But wouldn't write someone off over their age.
