Lol I do the same, my mother was excellent at geography at school so she used to teach me before a test. Well she also was stuck and said 'oh that was much easier in my day just the USSR! ' I live in Europe now and I still don't know where exactly those eastern block countries are. Just that whenever a new one joins everybody is mad and thats how I remember the names. (Those two people with their two maps and own names of european countries LOL loved each one. But ehm poor Belgium, in one it was forgotten as usual and in the other EW? Why is Belgium EW? probably the Wallonie people who don't shower)

I'm from Sweden. I know like 90% of the european map. Southeastern europe is so confusing though. I know Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina etc. but damn, there's too much going on down there. Like what is Kosovo? Never heard of it, lol. Sorry anyone from Kosovo....

IF anyone is interested here is a fun Europe Map Quiz

    I put it in paint. I missed 2 or 3. (unless I misnamed a few). How'd I do?

Quickly Googled and found out I misplaced Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia. Oh well. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    I got a 91%.

I think Kosovo is a disputed area. If you look at the map, it shows Russia owning Crimea, so that might explain it.

Yes, I know all of them. In fact, I know where most all countries are in the world...except for the smaller islands of the Caribbean and the Pacific.

I'm seriously impressed but not surprised, you seem very smart.

    I only scored 95 out of 141

I can place and name pretty much all of them except a few of the Baltic countries (I can name them, but sometimes confuse where they're located) and some of the Balkan countries (same story as the Baltic - I can name 'em but sometimes can't quite place them correctly).

  9. Yes, I know all of them and Turkey except for the Southeastern part.

Iceland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Ireland, UK, Portugal, Spain, France, Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Austria, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Greece, Italy...

The smaller ones trick me. In world geography last year, we had to memorize this exact map and we took a quiz on it. I got 100%, but as you can see I've forgotten the smaller countries already...

Definitely jaded, but humorous. Interesting to learn that about Czech Republic and Slovakia.

I'm sure they'd like that reputation. But France is supposed to have bigger ones. There's a map of the averages somewhere and it cycles around from time to time.
