Pretty straight forward question. I was skimming the bowels of Internet Hell (the places not even the basement dwellers dare go), and naturally, you come across some vile and disgusting stuff, as well as some totally uncalled for and offensive material and remarks. This inspired this question, naturally. So, what's the most offensive thing you've heard or seen?
''Women ask to be raped'' ''9/11 was the best day of my life'' There was a bunch of trolls telling a girl she needed to kill herself and not come out of her house on a youtube video.. I admit she wasn't an attractive girl but omg they were brutal.. so many of the things they said made me a youtube maniac in replies! I'm talking about that girl who sings Kesha Tik Tok as a cover. There are so many things.. the internet is fucked up. How about you Kaiser? What did you find that was disgustingly offensive?
It's hard to pin point the most offensive, but some of the worst came out since the deaths of young people like Mike Brown, Eric Garner and Trayvon Martin; where people do blackface as said people for whatever reason.
Well, let's just post the most offensive thing today, compliments of my father... Dad: "I wouldn't want my grandchild or great grandchildren led by a gay Boyscout leader." Me:"Why you think they are all pedophiles?" Dad: "Well, the stats are there which point to them being more likely to molest children." Me: "Where did you get those stats? Ronald Reagan?" Dad: "No, it was by the US government a few years later."
Here's a few that I've heard that I just found VILE. "Obesity is not beautiful" (I disagree because some people have diseases that causes obesity, should they not think they are beautiful because of it. Ug that post pissed me off) "You have one of those faces of girls who claim date rape" Terrible just terrible.
I can probably make an endless list if I wanted, but here's something, off the top of my mind, I remember running into while scrolling through my FB newsfeed a ways back; by someone who used to stay in my neighborhood: "Gay bitches be gay to take plastic dick smh lolol" (obviously about lesbians) To think this post actually got a fair amount of likes...speaks well of what I've been saying about some people I know, eh?
Yea definitely. personally the thing that offends me the most is when someone you care about, lies to you in a way that causes problems or insults you on a personal level.
^This. Thread: "They need to kill all the gays."~3/31/15, 2nd Period, about 5ft away from where I was sitting. That's not the most offensive thing I've ever heard/seen, but it's recent. My sister talking to me about a trans* friend of mine a few months ago: "She's not a real girl, you know." My "friends" discussing another trans* friend of mine a few weeks ago: "No, that's a girl. I don't care what they say, they are a girl so I'm calling them a girl." I don't feel comfortable typing what else they said next. It's too bad.
Not necessarily the most offensive ever, but in recent times absolutely: Just last night I saw revenge porn on Tumblr. People's full names, phone numbers, locations, and private pictures of them as well as people who had been identified in videos which were on the Internet. All centering around trying to expose, humiliate, defame, and harass 'faggots'. I wish I was fucking joking. It was so horrible. I wanted to cry for those people. Worse yet, there were other blogs much like it. Very Hunter Moore-esque. Just...god, I couldn't stand it oh my god.
Somebody once told me that she'd seen the most offensive thing ever. It was only a fictional story. It had to be explained to me why it was offensive. At least she had a good sense of humour about it. I encountered something called "gender disappointment" when I was reading on forums about miscarriages. It certainly isn't the most offensive thing. I just have trouble understanding how some people can be disappointed to the point of depression because of the sex of their child. This isn't talking about some things in China. It doesn't seem productive when people try to guilt trip mothers into getting over it. I can't remember the most offensive thing I've ever heard or seen. And I say that as somebody with a strong morbid curiosity. Plus I read mental health support forums. As a sidenote, I find it disturbing whenever people (some clearly severely mentally troubled) think I'm actually 100% my sadistic persona. In a sick way, it's funny because it's like they're disappointed and want me to point them in the direction of a serial killer or something like that. One time I expressed that I was feeling suicidal, and I was told to "just do it." I'm glad I learned some tough lessons when I was young. I despise weakness in myself. I despise weakness in other people. Perhaps the most offensive things I've seen = myself and humanity.
At the moment it's a meme saying " Black people playing classical music - cultural appropriation strikes again" I wanted to scream.
