Sore throats suck, but to me the worst is a runny or stuffy nose that is just impossible to clear no matter how many times you blow it.

Unlike my coworkers who insist on infecting me, I stay home when I'm sick. Even if I don't spread it to someone else, it's a pain in the ass to listen to someone sniffling all day and I guarantee I'll get nothing done anyways.

Other than that, I consume a lot of soup and hot chocolate and just accept that I'm going to be miserable for a few days until it starts to improve. I just ordered a humidifier to hopefully help me sleep better. With the dry air in the winter I always wake up congested and it sucks.

Colds aren't the worst though; I think that would be the flu or dehydration. Having to throw up when there's nothing left is pure agony. In those cases I usually call my mom and have her bring over some Gatorade -- to me that's the true miracle drug.

I normally try and stay away from drugs, but if I have a cold or the flu, I'll take absolutely anything I can to make myself better/manage whichever it is. the sore throat is the worst for me also.

I just have a lazy day in :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Sleeping helps me but when you have a blocked nose (The worst!) then it's quite difficult to do that...

When I'm sick, I really can't do anything because my body aches and so I just rest and drink medicine . If I have to, I'll drink some soup that my mom would force me to eat.

Hot bath/shower. This really seems to help me feel better.

Orange juice and/or water to drink.

    Sleep.

Maybe some medication, but other than that, nothing all that special.

Now, if I knew somebody was sick. I'd be over there with the pads, the food and drinks, and the potential services for neck and shoulder massages, as well as cuddles. Basically, I'm going to do my best to ease your ailments.

Rest, plenty of fluids and a Netflix account...that's all that you can do!

I have a cold and sore throat now. I will usually just use the computer or Xbox and wait for it to fuck off and drink Lemsip every few hours.

Stay indoors, on my sofa, armed with my Ipad, tea, cleenex... The usual.
A couple of aspirin, or ibuprofen, for when the headache strikes.

I have a mild immunodeficiency so I get sick easily and often and it takes a lot of time and sometimes antibiotics for me to get well again. I've gotten used to this trend and for me if I am sick but not totally knocked out I may work in bed or on the couch, and suspend all "unnecessary" activities until I feel well enough again. In the meantime, it's lots of soup, tea, and sleep.

I load up with vitamin c and decongestants. Taking the former can't hurt, and the latter makes my day bearable. Other than that I just wait it to pass -- you know what they say, a treated cold lasts 7 days, and the untreated one about a week...
