I've had several "fag hags" in my life but it was not the best situations to say the least. I can only recall two women that were genuinely establishing a friendship with me. However, those other women were either trying to get in my pants or maliciously sabotaging potential situations I would have or had with guys who were interested when I was single or better yet...there were two boyfriends that were subjected by their behavior but they knew how to handle it and put it all to a complete halt. Therefore, I guess you can say that I am on the fence when it comes to fag hags.

That term is as far as I know a derogatory term used to describe a woman who cant get a boyfriend of her own because shes too ugly/fat/horrible etc. So instead she hangs around with gay men.

People who use that term do it in my experience to put the woman down.

Well...the women that I spoke about in my response were not unattractive women and several of them had girlfriends. They just became very territorial when it came to me as well as overprotective so to speak. In fact, I became aware of the term from them and they seemed to carry it in a lighter yet humorous angle as opposed to being a derogatory term as you've mentioned. IDK...I guess everyone has their own perspective on it.

Bless you, you sound just like me and YES it is REALLY hard being a "fag hag" or "girlfag" (if you're a girl who mainly fancies gay/bi guys), the rest of the world simply don't understand, so it takes a long time to find what you're looking for, but it's not impossible..! :icon_wink
