Let's see... 1 pair of black Converse 1 pair of purple Doc Martens 1 pair of leather sandals 1 pair of short black boots 1 pair of plastic flip flops So they're 5, if you count the flip flops in.
Okay... Sneakers/casual shoes: 6 Sandals: 3 (I made one myself out of leather!) Athletic: 2 Sport specific: 4 Formal: 2 TOTAL... 16. Thats a gross amount of shoes. I should not need that many.
I just counted. 22 pairs, oops. It's probably ~10 pairs of canvas, not-waterproof sneakers for summer and ~10 pairs of warm, mostly high top sneakers for cold winter days. And some I can just wear all the time. That makes is a tiny bit better, doesn't it?
Crap. A pair just went down today. Yes, they were getting old and worn out, but that the sole just ripped like that... Were my favourite out of the not-so-expensive pairs I had, too. Life is cruel, I can't afford new ones at the moment. Still have 10 pairs left... but... :/
Wow. I literally don't know how many shoes I have. I have two shoes under containers filled up. If I had to guess I would guess around 30? A couple of tennis shoes, a ton of high heels (stilettos, sling back, peep toes, platform, etc) and a TON of flip flops, and about four boots. I love my shoes. My straight girl roomate only has one rack of shoes... so she doesn't fit the sterotype of straight girl shoe obsession. Likewise, I'm sure a lot of gay men do not fit this sterotype. I don't pay attention to stereotypes. They bite lol.
4. I have big feet, and my mom doesn't like buying me new shoes. *cries in a corner as all the femme women discuss how like totally fab their shoes are*
8 Jogging trainers Astro trainers Slippers Normal work shoes Pair of trainers Walking boots 2 other pairs of shoes I like but not really into fashion so cant really name them.
Keep in mind my list is limited by my shoe size - 8EEE 2 crocs for gardening and rainy days 1 Topsiders 1 flip flops 1 LL Bean boots 1 riding boots 1 tennis shoes 2 penny loafers - black & cordovan 1 velvet dress pumps for dinner suit 3 dress shoes 1 Wallaby's 14 I guess I qualify. I didn't think I had that many shoes.
I've got : -Doc Martens 1460 Boot -Birkenstock Black Arizona Sandals -Some bright red Under Armour Running shoes -Black Mesh sneakers -Brown Leather Vintage Baroque shoes -And some casual Faded Brown Suede slip-ons. Six In total!
I have my work shoes that are specific for working in a hospital and my trainers. So in total, I have 2 pairs. I can't really afford anymore as the rest of my money goes on making sure my kids get what they need. Happy days
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO What the heck do you use 9 pairs of sandals for! Are they all different? I can't even imagine why you'd need that many! haha :jawdrop: So yeah I don't have a huge amount. 5 pairs. 1 pair of black shoes for work (office job) 2 pairs of casual shoes (Vans + another) 2 pairs of slip-on shoes
LOL. They're not all the same, although some are the same model with different fabric / leather and whatever material. They all have different purposes:icon_bigg
no I don't think it's true, shoes are one thing a lot of straight men seem to be obsessed about....... me personally I only have like 7, but I only really wear 2...and I would probably buy more but I'm really picky and tend to buy expensive ones *sobs* so I would be wasting too much money on shoes.... but my next goal is 4 inch Buffalo(it's a brand not the animal) platforms
One- New Balance Sneakers. I dont like shoes. Especialy since my feet are as wide as they are long shoes can be hard to find. Its like trying to put pumps on a hog.
So, the theory is basically a load of dross, as I first thought when I heard it. Having started the thread I thought I would just count how many items of footwear I actually own and it's 21 (a mixture of formal and casual shoes, trainers, boots, flip flops). I knew I would be the wrong person to dis-prove the theory.
4 pairs: - Sneakers, for sportive outings - Brown leather, which is my standard footwear, and gets replaced with an identical pair when they break down - Black leather, for when it needs to be formal. - Sandals, for in summer Then I do also own a pair of steel-tipped shoes and a pair of rubber boots, but I don't count those. They're really just "utility footwear" to wear on occasions that warrant them. To be honest, I think most of my straight friends own about double what I own, if not more. They are also given to weird things such as having opinions on clothes, instead of just throwing on whatever's first at hand in the morning. Those heteros and their weird ways... EDIT: wow, 4000th post, and I spent it on shoes. So I guess that in a weird way, I AM a gay stereotype after all
Black knee high combat boots Black platform combat boots black/white converse low tops All Black converse low tops Black flip flops Black steel toe boots (hardly wear them, they are very worn out lol) So I have about 6 pairs of shoes but I really only wear combat boots the most.
Half of them I rarely use, unless my mom push me into wearing them before they get destroyed or worn off. I usually just wear 2 or 3 pairs. I have: A pair of uggs A pair of hiking boots (which I absolutely love) A pair of red converse (usually wear) A pair of sports shoes (also usually) A pair of shoes which is nice but I cannot describe because I don't remember every detail of my clothes or shoes like a normal person does. (I just say the color, which is never enough for anyone) :eusa_clap So I have 5 pairs in total. I think that's less than my brother's collection of sports shoes
