If you could choose what kind of afterlife there was, what would you choose? I would choose nothing, most likely. Sure, eternal existence might be nice for a few hundred years (depending on where) but it would get boring eventually. And eternity never ends.
"Rainbow bridge". I don't believe in an afterlife, but that poem still brings so many emotions for me. I'd like to spend forever there.
I will enjoy an afterlife with Jesus and the saints forevermore with praise and fellowship. It will be glorious.
Reincarnation as any living thing of my choosing would be what I would like. Then after I die as what I was reincarnated as I would choose again. Infinite reincarnation!
I would like my afterlife to be with God and Jesus in Heaven. Jesus said there would be know suffering in Heaven plus I get to see my loved ones who have passed.
What sort of afterlife would I choose? Interesting question, especially for atheists(which I am) I would probably choose a sort of afterlife in a world similar to the one in a fanfiction known as Friendship is Optimal. Maybe without the whole pony aspect considering I kind of left that fandom. I would definitely choose some form of an eternal life as I really don't care about the whole boredom argument and death is probably one of my biggest (if not my biggest) fear.
Pretty much agree with you on this. Eternity is, well, eternity, and whatever happens to me in an afterlife won't affect me properly at all because I'd be...y'know... Having said that though, it is a pretty scary thought.
I believe the atheistic belief of "when you die, nothing happens." Still, I think it's be fun to have an afterlife. I'd probably choose something along the lines of "a heaven for my wife and I where we can fuck eachother for eternity." Yes, I'm that horny. Of course, I'm sure we'd have to take a break, so we'd need TV/books/videogames/etc...
I would love for the afterlife to be a place where I can fulfill my most secret fantasies, but eh, I think its nothing. ---------- Post added 30th Jun 2014 at 08:08 PM ---------- Edit. Fantasies are not necessarily sexual in nature. As I reread it, I realized that it may be taken that way. Yes, some are, but also, a fantasy of mine is to be a bird. Perhaps strange, but there's an example for you.
I'd like to become a god of some sort, and have my own universe. Nothingness is fine, too, I guess, because it'd be like before I was born. I have no recollection of it. But now that I'm here, right now, I'd like to think I'll have time to continue learning and building. I was never sold on the Christian afterlife, because it sounds like one non-stop church service -- I hated those as a kid, and those only lasted about 1 hour! I couldn't imagine non-stop, for all eternity. I assume I'd either really, really enjoy it (thus I wouldn't be myself), or I'd have no choice (thus I wouldn't enjoy it). Reincarnation is ideal, too.
I'd rather go crazy in living forever - but with the added bonus that I can teleport anywhere in the universe(s?) instantaneously. If not that, I'll just go with Kaiser's choice in getting a chance to be the insane, evil entity wielding my ability to create anything I want for eternity. If you've ever seen "The Lovely Bones" (or read the book, which was much better), I like the idea that the afterlife reflects the things you loved when you were alive, and unique to each person.
