Clearly these "children" have no sense of empathy, one of the better definitions of evil I've come across. These children if not destroyed like rabid dogs are timebombs waiting to explode again. The alternative is solitary confinment for the rest of their lives...which is kinder?
This is one of the most disturbing crimes I ever read, and I've read a lot of crime stories. Probably because of the motives involved. Glad the girl survived, but she's probably going to have a lot of psychological and trust issues after this which is very unfortunate.
Why is there even a bail?? Put them away, if anything for being dumb enough to believe creepypasta.... And yes, you can blame them, because they are 12. They aren't stupid. Well, maybe they are. But not ignorant.
How about a Norwegian-style system of rehabilitation, where reoffending rates are the lowest in the world and levels of violent crime & murder are low - considerably lower than the US? The Norwegian prison where inmates are treated like people | Society | The Guardian Destroying people like rabid dogs is not a solution to any problem - it doesn't work, and in the face of all evidence, people still insist that the death penalty is an effective deterrent, even though things like this happen (and the recent shooting in Seattle). I just don't get it.

Kids can do the most horrible thing for the most idiotic of reasons. Geeze, dark magic and rituals, the stuff of horror, but happening for real.
Their parents should stand in trial, and that should be by law - kids doing crimes ? parents should take the blame >.>

They didn't tell the kids to do what they did. They had no idea what the kids would do. What are the authorities going to charge them for? The kids STABBED another child to near death. Not shot, but STABBED. When you pull the trigger of a gun, you really don't have to mean it. But stabbing someone, you REALLY have to mean it. Let alone multiple times.
This is absolutely sick those girls should know better. I'm glad the victim is recovering and karma will get those girls!
Dont miss this. What these girls did was repulsive and unthinkable, but don't think you're/we're immune. Honestly even as an adult when I see the manipulative bullshit that people (adults) pull on each other I just think what. the. fuck. (and thats putting it nicely)
What? Why would they do that? Don't they know creepypasta are just made-up stories? Interesting stories, but not real ones. And even if they were, why would you do something like that?
