So yeah, if Germany and the Netherlands keep playing like they are currently...ought to be a hell of a final. 0.0

The World Cup is such a waste of money... if I wanted to watch a bunch of men struggle to score for an hour and a half... I would just take my friends to the bar.

Holy SHIT. 4-0?? WTF was my team doing? Honestly there were a few ref mistakes but that always happens. We played like shit, Pepe was an idiot for the "headbutt" thing and our keeper had greasy fingers....
I love my team but there goes hope down the drain.
I think USA and Ghana are easier but if they play like they did today we are not going anywhere.

Well that was the most entertaining game ever...... I really wanted Iran to win that.

How are the Americans feeling about their game? Win today, draw with Portugal and dont get battered by Germany and you are through (Ghana wont beat Germany).

Really, are you sure??? (Is anyone beating Germany? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:)

Well, I'm not really a fan and I only got to watching it at the 30 minute mark, but the teams look very evenly matched atm. I suppose as long as they get no worse than a draw versus Ghana, it all falls on the Portugal game. Frankly the only reason they have a shot there is due to the Pepe suspension and the injuries. I'm not terribly hopeful - but I imagine their actual fans are.

Well I am amazed that the US pulled another goal out of no where to grab 3 points. They looked exhausted out there, no endurance at all. Looked worse than I was initially thinking, really.

Still, that really opens things up. Draw versus Portugal and they're likely in (since Germany is probably going to blow everyone out equally, anyhow).

USA! Wow, that game was intense to watch; so happy we won. If we pull a tie against Portugal we may have a chance. Not to be mean, but I'm glad Pepe is stupid.

Anyone else quietly hoping for Germany - Holland in the final?

What a win for the USA! Finally, we've gotten over the hump that is Ghana. Ghana huffed and puffed but except for that goal, didn't look very sharp (case in point - 21 shots, only 3 on goal).

Unfortunate that Altidore went down, but hopefully our other guys can step up.

There are a few countries I would like to see in the final, but a Germany - Holland final would be cool. The other final I would like to see is Italy - Argentina.

I must say the German coach did a pretty good job in getting the United States ready for the world cup.

What an absolutely astounding, brilliant game by Ochoa!! Beautiful saves throughout!

Obviously would've preferred they got a win, but still what a great match by Mexico! Beat Croatia and advance.

Mexico played that very well and the keeper was brilliant. Brazil have not looked very convincing at the world cup yet.

Really happy for Mexico. I love to watch them play, Chicharito is also my favourite player so would love to see them win (apart from England).

So it was a fantastic performance and Ochoa is a brilliant keeper, who's rightly getting the recognition he deserves for his consistant performances over the years. I know that he wants to stay in France though, so any top 6-ish French teams should make their move!

    Allez Belgique!

Good win overcoming the deficit and the fact that Algeria consistently had all 11 men in the defensive half. Their only shot on goal was the penalty kick!

Whereas the Brazil - Mexico game was 0-0, but was a lot more fun to watch.

Was really pulling for Mexico to finally pull out a W against Brazil but as hopeful as some were, I don't think anyone was actually EXPECTING that. Im sure they're happy with not losing and Ochoa must have been smiling to himself all day today.
