I am a straight female. I have a weird situation though. I only like lesbian or gay porn. Straight porn has to involve 2 really hot people for me to like it. My first orgasm(and many after) were to gay porn. I see women IRL and don't look at any of them in the way that would make me want to sleep with them or date them. I really only like men. The moment I imagine dating a female there is a mental block. Why do I only like porn that isn't straight???? I've gotten off quicker to a Spongebob Squarepants parody straight porn(!) to straight porn with 2 hot normal people. I do. I am a lesbian and a gold star lesbian (never slept with boys and never will because I like women) but I watch straight porn, too. I get off to straight porn just as I do to gay or lesbian porn. I don't feel confused about my sexuality, though. It is untouched. One thing is for me to masturbate and be intimate with myself, ultimately, and its another thing to actually go out and have straight sex. THAT would be confusing to me, not to mention the thought of it grosses me out.
What if I told you there were straight women who enjoyed and got off to lesbian porn, and lesbians who got off to gay male porn? When you get right down to it, there isn't a specific rule that says if you're straight, you must enjoy straight porn, or if you're gay, you must enjoy gay porn involving only those of the same sex. Porn is around for people to watch and enjoy, regardless of where they fall in the sexual spectrum. A lot of women, especially, enjoy gay porn since straight porn tends to be unrealistic and a bit misogynist for casual male viewers. There's a bit of egalitarianism, or the perception of it, at least, with same-sex scenes, and since you're attracted to men, it would make sense to find gay male porn enjoyable. I've also heard of straight women viewing lesbian porn and imaging themselves being pleasured the same way as one of the actresses. The second issue, your orientation, is for you to figure out, though it might be worth considering why you've given the issue so much importance, what else might have lead you to question your sexuality besides childhood names, and perhaps even why the need to imagine yourself dating a female in the first place.
Porn tastes aren't necessarily indicative of your orientation. There's a lot of lesbians who enjoy gay (male) porn, for example. It might seem weird, but I think a lot of times it's more just that watching two people have sex and enjoy it can be arousing regardless of whether or not you'd want to have that type of sex in real life. Also, there have been studies indicating that while men tend to respond more to porn that reflects their orientation (straight men being aroused by female-only porn, gay men by male-only porn, etc.) women often react to any gender combination, regardless of orientation. I don't think you being a straight woman and liking gay porn is weird at all -- in fact, I'd say that's almost expected. Almost in the vein of a straight man liking lesbian porn -- you like men and are attracted to them, wouldn't two men be even better? And liking lesbian porn isn't that unusual, either -- there are some straight women who like lesbian porn, again, not because they'd want that sex themselves but just because they enjoy watching it. The reasoning is usually that lesbian porn is calmer, gentler and softer than hetero porn, which can be rather misogynistic or rough at times. Especially if you say that you couldn't imagine yourself dating or sleeping with a woman irl, and only like men, I don't think watching lesbian porn necessarily means anything. Doing the deed in real life is a lot different than just watching it. Now in my case, I would use female-only porn as a means of fulfilling the lesbian fantasy I never got to act out in real life, so I think that's a bit different.
@gravechild it's pretty confusing to like lesbian porn when I'm not a lesbian in real life. Girls in school used to call me a lesbian in school to insult me(funny thing is a few of them became bi LOL) and I was ugly so not a lot of boys liked me. I thought maybe I'm meant to be a lesbian then but then I realized ALL of my crushes have been on men, my first kiss with a guy pretty much opened my sexuality, and I have plenty of female friends who I have had extremely close relationships with but never ever felt like I wanted to date them. I check out girls and think they are pretty but not like " I want to date her and bang her." I have also made out with 3 different girls. I felt nothing. Also I made out with one of them so I could get to her boyfriend. ( I know I'm a bitch.) My confusion is lifted. I find it pretty interesting that so many lesbians like gay male porn. I have read on other forums that the lesbian sex portrayed in porn isn't really realistic just like in straight porn. I guess I like it because I like when men do the things that the fake lesbians do in porn. I don't feel like "I want to do that to a girl" I feel like " want a guy to do this to me." Yup agree with the others. You can be straight and enjoy lesbian stuff. I'm a lesbian that only watches gay male porn or male masturbation videos. Reason? They're more realistic feeling. With the former I feel like the guys enjoy themselves and with the latter It's more realistic since It's mostly guys uploading selfies (and I also like to imagine what It's like to masturbate with a dick). I've tried porn with women in them, but I almost always find it a turn-off unless It's amateur stuff. Girls in porn make such annoying noises.

From this paragraph it seems very unlikely that you're a lesbian or even bisexual. Porn doesn't determine your sexuality. I find that lesbian porn is pretty bad. It does absolutely nothing for me. There is no genuine passion in it.
Anyone else watch porn that doesn't fit their sexual orientation? First it did. Mainly watched gay porn, because it usually is more realistic. And I'm more into stories and such haha. However, I recently found out bi porn exists (I know, how dumb I didn't find out earlier) and it was great too! The girls in bi porn make those make noises less often (sometimes they even don't!). There might be some straight porn which will turn you on, but if it's hard to find, you will likely stick to the same-sex porn. However, straight porn usually doesn't do it for me.
