Well you didn't make me narrow it down to one... so I picked everything but pop. I don't like any of the country now, but there's some old stuff that I'll listen to.
I'll listen to almost anything. Just not Rap or Metal or Country. Really, there's even some old country I like.
I'm kind of more an alternative listener. I really love Florence and the Machine songs and Lana Del Rey.
I've been listening to a lot of stuff like the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Sublime recently. But I really dig bluesy Rock and Roll from the 50-70s like: Elvis Presley, The Animals, The Rolling Stones, and T. Rex.
I tend to hop around with my music, based on my mood. I usually listen to electronic sub-genres. Instrumentals and alt. rock are pretty cool too. Whenever I start getting depressed or I think too much I listen more to metal and darker electronic sub-genres.
Psychedelic, indie, rock, pop, indie-rock, alternative-rock, classical rock, metal, singer-songwriter, folk, unplugged, classical, party(ofc), etc. And apparently also 'acid jazz' (lol) according to my grooveshark preferences. Pretty much anything I like. It also goes in cycles, one week I'm all into a genre the next I'm into different genre ;D I don't like being all committed to one genre when there are so many great songs within every single one of them!
Whatever songs I come across when searching music video tributes to my favorite characters and couples.
punk rock. bands like rise against, no use for a name, anti-flag, strike anywhere, and dropkick murphys. they all have very political lyrics, and most of those bands have a very pro-gay message, especially rise against, who made a song about the bullying lgbt youth face every day. no use for a name - soul mate - YouTube my favorite song
No classical?! Maybe that's to be expected because it's been present for centuries. It will be interesting to see how current genres fair in the decades ahead.
I mainly listen to rap but I enjoy all genres. Not today's rap though(excluding Kendrick Lamar) I feel like good rap always has more clever and well constructed lines than other genres. And I like songs that tell a story(songs like Brenda's for a baby), I don't listen to an of that dumb yolo swag shit(no offense to anyone)
I'm a rocker, mostly, classic rock being my adsolute favorite genre, but I also love Metal. I listen to country, too, but really, so long as it sounds good to me, I'll listen to just about anything. I hate hate hate rap, pop, and hip hop, though. Cannot stand rap, pop, and hip hop.
