I changed my profile pic 2 days ago. Most of my friends did the same. I haven't lost any friends and I haven't seen anything homophobic posted. I guess I'm lucky

No one so far and I really doubt it too since the only like I got was for a picture I posted afterwards.

While I myself haven't changed my profile picture those who did were criticised. In saying that however the majority of my Facebook friends have aspirations like "F@#king B*@ths and "popping caps in everybadys ass", so their homophobic actions were sadly expected.

I think all the homophobes must have left sometime over the last two years, since it's been 90% gay-related stuff I've been posting for that time. I don't make room for haters in my life.

Most of my Facebook were all red themselves. I had one chat conversation with three other people, and since their names weren't displayed and only their profile pictures, I couldn't tell who was talking!

    No. Because I don't have a facebook.

I would've though! ...and it would've been worth it! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:ride:

    I haven't done it, but I'm sure I wouldn't if I did.

I ended up unfriending a lot of people instead of getting unfriended (They said things I did not agree with, at all). Sadly I had to take my down because I don't want questions from my mother just yet.

Those people who called you names were NOT your "friends." You know who your true friends are.

I changed my picture yesterday and only 3 people asked about it. I live in a small town so i think no one really knows the meaning hehe

but i told those who asked and they didn't really said anything about it. one of them actually changed his profile picture as well  it was awesome and he said "whatever i support homos and who doesn't can f**k off"

I was surprised how many straight FB friends supported the turn red day.

  13. Nobody had anything negative to say, and I didn't think they would. Most of my friends support marriage equality, and those who don't (for religious reasons) would never be outright hateful about it.
I must say that I was nervous about doing it, because I'm not out. I was afraid my parents might question me about my orientation once they saw, but luckily my fears had no merit.

My stepsister's stepmother, who lives in Tennessee and who I have never met, changed her profile picture to the equals sign. It gives me hope that I can come out to Dad and my stepfamily sometime -- maybe not all of them are hyperconservative Christians who oppose homosexuality. Maybe my stepsisters will understand. :') I'm glad for each of you who turned your Facebook red.

I didn't turn mine red, and neither did any of my friends. Nothing out of the ordinary there-my school is fairly conservative in its opinions. A few groups I have liked did though, which was nice.

Actually, that was my situation. I didn't even know people were doing it until one of my straight friends changed his first.

I've officially lost a friend over it. Good riddance.

I've changed my profile picture back to normal, but my cover photo is the equality symbol, and I'm planning on leaving it indefinitely. At least until the Supreme Court makes their ruling.

i just use facebook to post music vids lol and every now and then a psa, lol my last one was on getting pulled over by the police, not because im a criminal or anything(well im a habitual speeder) but the police out here will step all over your rights if you dont know them

a car was going real slow on the road while i was going real fast so i hit the other oncoming lane and passed them, not knowing it was an undercover cop until a lil too late..
    the police:
"do you know why i pulled you over"
    me:
"well uhh i was going a lil fast and i probably shouldnt have passed you"
    the police:
"do you know how fast you were going"
    me:
"no idea officer im not even gonna guess"
    police:
    "95 in a 45"
    me:
"really? well at least going that fast you know i dont have any drugs and im not drunk"
    the police:
    "step out of the car"
