I was born and mostly raised in the United States, though I spent more than a quarter of my childhood in Germany. I don't feel particularly American as a result.

My family is mostly of English, German, and Spanish descent, with some Irish and Native American mixed in.

Lots of different nationalities! My family's English and just English. We can only tentatively trace our family out of the county, and nothing at all outside the country. Not inbred, I swear.

It's kinda boring though, I'd love to have some sort of links to another country. I do have step-family in Ireland though, who I'm close to.

    Born and raised in Belgium.

25% French, through my mother's side, though. And with Belgium being a country that changed hands every other year until two centuries ago, I'm pretty sure there's other influences when you go back enough.

I'm the 3rd generation to live in Canada.

My father is 100% German as is my family on that line, however my mother is primarily Scottish with some Irish.

So basically 50% German 35%ish Scottish 15%ish Irish.

Probably explains why I love to drink eat meat and potatoes :$

I was born in England, lived there for 5 years (off and on). Spent the rest in the U.S.

I'm 1/2 English and 1/2 American (with 1/8 Lebanese, English and French on that side).

I was born in the US, but my family has strong Welsh roots, lots of Jewish ancestry on my Father's side, some Danish ancestry, heavy German ancestry, and even a small amount of Pennsylvania Dutch heritage if I recall.

I was born in Belfast Northern Ireland, U.K.

My paternal families history was a powerful military clan in Scotland from a Kingdom known as Alba which was actually first settled by Irish Gaels, so originally Irish, in the 12th and 13th century. They were brought to Antrim Ulster Plantation as hired Gallowglasses (heavily armed mercenary soldiers).
Im sure many of them were forced off their lands by the English but many left for pay.

The same situation followed my maternal side but they were not a powerful clan. Many of them left to America in the 16th and 17th century.

My grannies family origins are Dutch but I don't know much about them.
