Band Geeks

I play trumpet for a relatively well known youth orchestra if that counts? it's not a school thing really though. But I get to play first after summer when a few people leave And I'm a drummer too, for the rock 'n' roll aspects of my life

 

I'm going to try out for the ISUCF"V"MB (Iowa State University Cyclone Football "Varsity" Marching Band) in a couple weeks when I go up there for freshman orientation. I'm really nervous about the audition, but it'll be awesome if I make it

But flute was my thing!! It got me a trip to china senior year for marching band!

I gave up the oboe. It involved a reed making class and a nasty accident with a razor.

But I still do piano and tuba.

I'm in a band. We play acoustic rock, and I also have a solo thing going on. I play the electric violin with a looper and different effects.

 

I used to be in symphonic and concert bands in high school. Then in college, I played in the concert bands and the University of Georgia Redcoat Marching Band for 5 yrs. Such a great time full of great memories and made some amazing friends. I play tuba and sousaphone.

 

I picked up trombone in elementary school, baritone horn in high school, and taught myself a little bassoon while in college.

 

I've played trumpet for seven years. And I'm never playing it again, because I'm about to graduate high school.

I'm a music education major. Saxophone and classical soprano.

 

Bank geeks rule. I play the trombone. I play in the concert, pep, and jazz bands. I also sing in the chorus and a capella. Do you know why trombone players are better than trumpet players? Trumpet players use three fingers while trombone players use seven positions. Go band jokes.

 

I am majoring in Music Education in college and I play percussion too!
I've also had 10+ years of experience on piano. I am a total band and music geek!!

Sat down at the piano for the first tome ever t'other day, and worked out melodies pretty quickly 0_0
But I want to learn drums, violin, more piano, japanese, kazoo, learn to sing, i want a synthesizer....Trent Reznor in waiting here

 

Main instrument is Trombone, started playing it in elementary school. Picked up baritone in high school since my school did not march trombones (we did dci style). Also learned to play tuba just for the hell of it and played it in pep band. I now play baritone in my college marching band.

 

I learned to play alto and tenor sax sophomore year in high school then learned trombone last year and that's my fav instrument now :3
