Magic's Pawn/Magic's Promise/Magic's Price (trilogy) by Mercedes Lackey
How Long Has This Been Going On? -- Ethan Mordden
Becoming A Man -- Paul Monette

My favourite at the moment is "Empress of the World" by Sara Ryan. I also like "Boy Meets Boy", the "Rainbow Boys" trilogy by Alex Sanchez and "Kissing Kate" by Lauren Myracle. I'm dying to get my hands on "Annie On My Mind" by Nancy Garden, but I can't find it anywhere. I used to be embarrassed about borrowing those books from the library or ordering them through bookstores, but I'm fine with it now.

"Empress Of the World" is a great book, as firecausesburns already pointed out. There's the book called "Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List" by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. Funny, funny book.

Is there any way we could have a list of popular gay books on EC somewhere? like as part of a pop section with music and movies and stuff. that would be faaaabulous.

(I'm resurrecting this thread because I was looking for gay books again and well, everyone needs to know about them!)

I read A Density of Souls recently, and OMG it was so good. It is so effed-up in a good way. Thrilling... one of my fav books now. (The Snow Garden looks cool too, I'm looking forward to that.)

The World of Normal Boys is also an excellent book, that deals directly with the questionning teenager. *Really* good.

I also read The Year of Ice, and it was OK, but I didn't find it particularly great or whatever. I'd give it a C, and it's worth reading if you have nothing to read.

Next on my reading list are:
    Boy Meets Boy
    David Levithan

    Dream Boy
    Jim Grimsley

    Leave Myself Behind
    Bart Yates

    Drawing Blood
    Poppy Z. Brite

    Rainbow Boys series
    Alex Sanchez

The perks of being a wallflower
    Stephen Chbosky

A few people have mentioned my favorite, which is Empress of the World by Sara Ryan. The sequel, The Rules for Hearts, is excellent as well.

    Otherwise..

Talking in the Dark by Billy Merrell. It's a poetry memoir.
The Realm of Possibility and How They Met and Other Stories by David Levithan. He is my favorite author. I e-mailed him once and he replied!, it was amazing.
Keeping You a Secret, Far from Xanadu, and Between Mom and Jo by Julie Anne Peters.

the perks of being a wallflower is by far the greatest book i have ever read. like it probably sounds like i am lying, but it changed my life.

how i paid for college and its sequel attack of the theatre people are also really good.

    M or F?
Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You
    Out of the Pocket
7 Days at the Hot Corner
My Most Excellent Year: A Novel of Love, Mary Poppins, & Fenway Park

These books were awesome. I loved them all.

Also, The Mortal Instruments series has a gay boy/warlock couple in it and they are absolutely amazing. So even though that series isn't very "gay focused," I highly recommend them! XD
