Do you think it's a giveaway if you don't have "interested in" on your Facebook?

Haha, technically, guys your age ARE men.

But yea, I'm not a big fan of the word Men. When I hear men, I think of like, people in their 40s to 50s. ._. When I was like 14, it meant people in their 20s or 30s. Funny how it changes. lol.

Damnit, that just made me remember I turn 21 next week >_< FML. Was trying to forget.

On the actual topic: No, I don't think it's a dead giveaway. Some people just like having privacy, and others are just too lazy to fill in the spot. I have plenty of straight friends who put nothing.

Mine is left blank. No one has asked me if I'm gay. I am thinking of changing mine to 'men'. May do it soon!

Mine is blank, and a few of my other straight friends have it blank too. Some people are probably just lazy or don't really care to put it.

Not at all, no one's really asked about why I have mine set as anything, and anyway, Asexual people don't have sexual interests, so they dont need to put it in.

For males, the chance that they're gay if they don't have 'interested' in is higher compared to women. That being said, if someone doesn't have it, it's never a dead give away, unless they tick all the 'closet cases' boxes. That being said, they could have still listed 'women' anyway.

My one (gay) friend called me out on it because he said when he first added me it was women and now it's nothing. i think it can be an indicator, but alot of closeted guys would leave it as women as an extra "cover".

No, I don't think that not having filled in the "interested in" or "relationship status" is necessarily a giveaway, though if either (or both) were changed, people may wonder. I for one have always been single and never indicated whether I was interested in women or men (or both), since I was never interested in seeking a relationship beyond friendship.

I feel confident they will not draw any conclusions from that information not being there, I think i would have to act gay in school for that to arose suspicion but as i try not to they have no reason to look on my profile.

My interested in has been men and women for a while now. Nobody has noticed. I think that it has been that way since summer.

I think it is a tad bit of a giveaway, however...Researchers have found they can predict male sexuality with some degree of certainty just based on his friends list. The same is not true for women. If I can find the stuyd, I'll post it.
