Dear all,

I thought I would come back, just shy of 5 years later, to update my profile picture and resurrect this thread to say how much better my life turned out to be since coming out to my family, friends and those I work with, and indeed any anybody who asks.

It really was a journey and a process; the biggest part actually being back then my self acceptance and gaining confidence in myself. It certainly seems silly and distant now (I worried about things that, with hindsight, turned out to be ridiculous and unsubstantiated), but, at the time, the many stories and experiences posted on EC really, really helped, so many many thanks!

I have been so, so lucky and now find myself in a fantastic relationship with a truly amazing guy, the love of my life and my world, Sean. This is definitely something that I never thought back then would ever happen for me - and it has, and I really am so contented and happy now!

How things change with time!
