Looking for recommendations for lesbian themed shows or movies bonus if on Netflix, amazon or hbo.. I have watched a handful that are streaming on Amazon and Netflix. This is what I have already watched: Carol, Kiss me, Blue is the warmest color, Below her mouth , and The L word. Any other ones out there you would recommend?
Oh yeah - I started room in Rome and need to finish it. Bound is on my list but didn’t know about the other two. Adding it to the list now
Some tv shows with lesbian storylines I really love are Sense8 (my favourite show ever and it’s on netflix) The Bold Type One Day at a Time Orphan Black Orange is the new black Black Mirror season 3 episode 4 ( it’s an independent episode so no need to watch the whole series, althought the show is worth watching, called ‘San Junipero’ and it’s a beautiful and very original love story between 2 women)
I started Sense8 about a week ago and really enjoying it. I have watched orange is the new black on and off over the years. I’ll look into the other suggestions. Thanks!!
Vida is really good - not sure if it's streaming, Grey's Anatomy's a classic, One Mississipi is good too. Princess Cyd on netflix is fantastic.
I've heard about this. I haven't seen it but it's supposed to be a cute show. I also know that Lost Girl is kinda a cult classic show.
I love Lost Girl I have all the seasons on DVD. Though given the fact the main character needs to feed off sexual energy there's a lot of sex, with men and women. Thankfully the one person she never slept with was her best friend. Everyone else was fair game. The fan fiction for the show was great too. There's this channel on YouTube called Girl Ship TV and they have this Drunk Lesbians Watch thing where they watch a lesbian movie while commenting on it. You could find lots of titles there while also finding out a little about the movie. Wynnona Earp has a lesbian couple and amazingly neither one of them is dead. It's a show about really hot kick ass women so I would have watched it without the lesbians.
Yeah it's really funny and as jobs go it seems great. It was really good when they reacted to Haley Kiyoko, it was nice to have them react to something other than a movie. I saw one recently where they had the two main actresses of the movie reacting also.
Drunk lesbians watch is one of my favorites! I've watched a bunch of them, they're always really funny.
I'm not sure if you're interested in any of these and I don't know if these are available for streaming because I don't subscribe to those services but if you're looking for some lesbian themed movies here's a few: The Children's Hour (1961) This is an older movie with Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine and it's sad but it's worth a watch. Battle of the Sexes (2017) This is the story about tennis legend Billie Jean King and the match aganist Bobby Riggs. I'm pretty sure this has been on HBO lately. The Truth About Jane (2000) This was a made for TV movie starring Stockard Channing and Ellen Muth.
I just watched Everything Sucks on Netflix, and really loved it. Sadly, from what I read online there may not be a second season. Either way, I actually caught some feels watching it.
We need this and your profile pic plastered on every wall in existence. This is such a simple concept, but so few people understand this.
