Over 36 hours. Was up early-ish one morning, then stayed up all that night, had normal day, went to bed late that night. Didn't feel quite myself after that Ended up passing out on the couch. Sometimes insomnia is entertaining!
Give or take two/threeish days. My mum had let me stay up because I could sleep in the next day but around 1 in the morning we got a call that my grandma had passed. It took 12 hours to get to Mexico and I stayed up with my mum to velar la for a few more <sorry don't remember the English equivalent ^^;> Kinda a weird feeling to stay up for so many hours.
I stayed awake for three days straight because I was in grad school writing my thesis. It was horrible, and I actually left grad school to pursue a different career path that I enjoy quite a bit. I had so much anxiety when I was writing my thesis, and during those three days I was awake, I hardly ate anything, lived off of coffee & water, and I had a couple of anxiety attacks as well...It was not a fun time in my life.
Anybody who votes 10-14 hours is lying; that would mean you have never gotten fewer than ten hours of sleep in your life, unless your sleep schedule does not work with days. I'd find 14-18 hours hard to believe but not completely unbelievable. I've gone full nights with zero sleep, happens around once every two years, and the two days
Interesting. Idk about the people surrounding me (I suppose it depends how noisy they are) but I find that I'm more likely to fall asleep when I'm in the car or plane.
Somewhere between 36-48 hours...just to see what that would be like...I was maybe 14ish? It wasn't good, and hasn't happened since.
Reading this thread makes me believe that I hate sleep. Other than Winter Maiden, seems like most of you don't go too long without sleep! Seems like my average day (up for around 20 hours, sleep for 4-6) is on the high side for most people
I voted 18-22 hours. We were going to Hawaii, and our second plane was a red eye. I can't sleep on planes, so I stayed awake for the entire trip.
When I had a bad reaction to a medication I was taking and it caused a side effect similar to restless legs syndrome only over my whole body, I was up for three days straight. I don't recommend it. On the third day I began hallucinating.
My first couple days away at college when I was 18, I ended up staying up over 40 hours straight. I had a full day worth of activities and at night it was still sweltering in the upper 90 degree range so it was too hot to sleep.
It's not so much that they're noisy; I just freak out at the idea of people seeing me in a position of weakness (ie asleep). What if they draw on my face, or worse? I can only sleep on my own, or just with a close family member.
40 something hours. It was in the middle of tech week for the school show and so we had gotten up at 8am to work and then I stayed up all night with a couple friends and then we worked until like 11pm the next day and I never got a chance to go to sleep
