Just wondering, because I've always found it an interesting topic. I'm French Canadian, British, Blackfoot, Lakota, Eastern Abenaki, Scottish, and Dutch. How about you?
My parents were both born here in Australia, but all of my grandparents were born in Italy. Having an Italian background has made the coming out process slightly more difficult, but we're managing well so that's good.
German, Irish, and Italian on my mother's side, and a fair amount of Sioux and Crowfoot on my dad's side. My looks are firmly from the European half of the family, though.
Short answer: Mexican I am full Mexican on both sides of my family. My dad was born there; my mom's grandparents were born there. Going further back you can find Zapotec, Spanish, and Irish ancestry as well (Mexicans are not homogeneous!)
Same. Except my entire family on my dad's side is from Texas since Texas was Mexico, so plenty of intermingling. I consider myself 100% Hispanic with 100% the health problems of Latinos and white folk :rolle:. ---------- Post added 28th Nov 2016 at 12:39 AM ---------- I have a basque surname.
I have blue eyes, auburn hair, and pale skin. My ethnicity is a mixture of Scottish, British, Irish, Cherokee, and the rest I haven't a clue. I'm American; we're almost all mixed breeds here.
Spanish and Italian, though for some reason I look rather Asian (specifically Japanese) so it's likely that I have some of that too.
Pretty sure I'm at least 99% Chinese. I probably have Cambodian or Vietnamese ancestry, but I don't identify myself with either.
I mean I'm Canadian. I was sure that was what ethnicity was. But maybe I misunderstood the definition. My moms family came to Canada from England, dads from Ireland. Other than that I don't know.
White. Unlike Asian, Latino, or even African American, no questionnaire gives a crap about what type of white you are. So, there you have it -- I'm white.
