Looking for some good anime to watch (I don't watch enough) My current collection stands at: Naruto (Shippuden) My Neighbor Totoro The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Akira The Pokemon Movies Not a dazzling collection, but, hey, I don't watch too much.
Death Note, Code Geass, Attack on Titan, Black Butler, Baka to Test, Mirai Nikki, Attack on Titan is a definite must watch. Here's my anime list, I recommend anything with a 10 or 9. http://myanimelist.net/animelist/Skaros
Well I could list a lot of different anime suggestions for you, but it really all comes down to what sort of genre you're interested in. I wouldn't bother asking you about plot or animation style since you've not got a lot under your belt, but genre is pretty relevant even to someone starting out. Because if you can't get interested in it, why would you watch more? But there are a few anime out there that I think can pull it all together for anyone. Some people may disagree with me on this, but I think Cowboy Bebop is a good place to start. It's been one of my favorites since I was in middle school. And I'm well out of uni now. So yeah. Here's a short list of anime that go in different directions so you can branch out some. Cowboy Bebop Juuni Kokki No. 6 Full Metal Alchemist FLCL Trigun Sword Art Online Ouran High School Host Club I wanted to give you some good anime without giving you anything to intense to start off with. So if you watch these and enjoy them...get back at me. :] There's plenty anime buffs on here. But seriously. Cowboy Bebop. >.>
If you have Netflix, I purposefully added some anime that I knew was on there. Attack on Titan is currently on Netflix as well. They might not always have the most top notch anime, but they end up with some good ones now and then. If nothing else, you've got more anime to add to your list. Lol.
I don't have netflix, and yeah, i heard that sword art got worse over time from my friends who watch it
If you want something a little surreal and weird, try Black Rock Shooter. There is a 50 minute movie and an 8 episode series. I recommend starting with the movie. It's on YouTube. https://m.youtube.com/watch?list=FLjsWUKQjgyPltciahvy7LRw&v=v5l7oCtw54c
thanks, guys. black rock shooter looks good. (and it's a sub!) subs are way better than dubs. Sadly, all the anime films that I own are dubs!
I know of a few that I keep going back to. BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad - FUNimation Ent. NANA -VIZ Media Akira - Geneon Ent. Laputa: Castle In The Sky - Studio Ghibli From Up On Poppy Hill - Studio Ghibli Princess Mononoke - Studio Ghibli Samurai Champloo - Geneon Ent. Noaki Urasawa's Monster - VIZ Media Yu Yu Hakusho - FUNimation Ent. Area 88 TV and OVA - ADV Films (out of business) Negima! and Negima!?<--- (spin off) - FUNimation Ent. Another - Sentai Filmworks Mobile Suit Gundam (Anything from The Universal Century Saga) - Bandai Ent. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - FUNimation Ent. Romeo X Juliet - FUNimation Ent. Samurai X: Trust And Betrayal - ADV Films .hack (series) - Bandai Ent. Basically anything from FUNimation Entertainment is gold. Out of my own collection, FUNimation has the highest stack.ADV Films would be my second, but they went out of business. So Sentai Filmworks takes second. And either Geneon or Bandai is third.
Kill la Kill CLANNAD Angel Beats Attack On Titan Sword Art Online Nichijou Sakura Trick Ichigo Mashimaro Death Note Black Butler Cross Ange Mirai Nikki I cannot think of more right now, but i'll add some more later. And for those who say SAO is bad after the first arc; yes i'll admit the Alfheim arc was not as good, however season 2 is very good.
There are two that I can recommend. From recent years, the only one I can highly throw my heart to is Attack on Titan. It took me a while to fall in love with it, but only because the hype train was very loud. If you're feeling the same way, I can guarantee you that it is worth every yell of excitement it has received. The second is something that is close to my heart. It's one that I don't think many people have ever heard of, let alone seen. It's called Natsume Yuujinchou. It's about a man who inherits a book of souls/demons, whatever you would like to call it. The pages get scattered, each written with a name. In this reality, the names have higher meaning for spirits- for when it is written down, their soul is 'taken' and sealed away. The sort of 'guardian' is a lucky cat spirit who then helps him recover the lost pages. It is not an action Anime. Some moments are legitimately heartbreaking and others are actually creepy and scary. There is a lot of thought put into every encounter, and each of these people have a story to tell. There is a lot of character growth and I wish more people would have seen it. It is one of the best I have ever watched.
The Wallflower! I don't remember what it is called in Japanese but it is the best! I recommend watching it subbed, but if you like it dubbed then you watch it dubbed!
There's a lot of anime I like, but to make it easier on you, I'll just tell you the best one: Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. There, you're set.
