been there but the other way around, such a good feeling isnt it? congrat bro. ---------- Post added 11th Apr 2016 at 11:04 AM ---------- Hello Leo, nice to meet you.:smilewave
I got an endocrinology appointment letter today!!! It's just tests and stuff, but if all goes well I could get my blockers prescription before my sixteenth! As my sister said, it's a really boring thing to be excited for, but this is MASSIVE (!) (!!) (!)
I don't know if you all read the news section, but north Carolina's anti trans law has artists, activist groups and companies in a total uproar. We are not such a small part of the world anymore.
I asked my friends to call me Lex and they've done their best (although one friend keeps getting confused and still calling me Seth or mixing them and calling me Sex...)
I told some one my friends (mostly online and a few irl) that I want to be called 'Ezra' and they've been supportive Most of my online friends started calling me Ezra pretty much as soon as I told them
So, a little step forward - new EC username No more "g4rret". I wasn't too attatched to a nickname, but it's really nice to have one that better represents me. Especially that the character whose name I borrowed is in some ways relatable to me. Feels good to have the username matching my gender... time for the same in real life once I figure it all out!
I feel like I somewhat pass in front of my mirror? Seriously, I dressed and my first thought of my own reflection was "a dude" and then "that's my reflection". Even with my long hair and girly face. I'm slowly getting there.
Are you the perfect magical being made from the joining of humanity and homonculi? Cuz' that'd be pretty awesome.
Slightly late victory post (thats ok right?) Finally fully "re-imaged" myself on steam as female. Completely re did my profile and changed a bunch of other things too. It seems to have worked. A short while after a guy i met on a server texted me and said "i always thought you where a guy". I also got my very close friends to start using female pronouns and calling me Brianna 24/7 (Although they usually just stick to Bri haha). Frankly, its a great feeling iv been slowly changing everything online to Brianna for that matter. It actually really bothers me when i need to go back to using "Ben" now. Like Paypal, that apparently needs to use my legal name associated with my new bank account ;_; (I understand why from a legal government perspective but still, i wish they at least could accept nicknames or something). Kinda makes me want to change my legal name just to not deal with "Ben" anymore in those cases. Although all smoke aside, i don't think i'm ready for full on legal name yet. Otherwise, i'm just slowly trying to increase my wardrobe. Next i'm looking into getting myself a nice purse. The biggest fear for me is dealing with stares people give as i walk through the womans section. Especially when it comes to trying shoes. I don't pass by any definition, mind you (still look like a guy). But i suppose it doesn't matter at the end of the day though. Money in the corporations pockets is money, no matter what you are.
I got a new set of breast forms today, ON SALE! Cheaper than I've ever seen them listed! God, I can't wait for my real boobs.
Until you're able to legally change your name, what you can do is sign up for a business account. Use your preferred name as the business name. I can tell you from personal experience that when you do legally change your name, PayPal is slow at changing everything and kind of a bitch. So make sure you have your driver's license/ID changed too before you try to change your PayPal info and be willing to make a fuss. -- Also, I know I made a whiny/ranty thread yesterday but I actually got a referral to see a WPATH therapist in a month. And the entire point of the appointment is just to evaluate me for T. If all goes well, I'll end May on hormones.
some old lady at walmart actually thought I was a girl and even said that my hair was pretty of course my mom ruined it by saying "he's a guy," but it was nice while it lasted
