Not sure what to think of Isles thus far. Been very schizophrenic thus far - hopefully they'll get it together and play more consistently going forward.
Man the past 2 weeks have been crazy for me. I've only been able to watch 2 games so far this year. I really wanted to watch Canucks and Canadiens game, but I ended up working 16 hours on an outage at work. It should be up on GameCenter live now so I should be able to watch it this weekend.
Kinda sad that as bad as the Rangers have played thus far they still have more wins than the Giants. Isles need to step it up.
Canucks are playing okay. Competing with teams, but still just above .500. Poor Chris Higgins, 37 SOG, 5.4% Shooting percent.
Meanwhile, the Leafs are beginning their path of regression. When you constantly get out-shot, eventually it will catch up to you.
I'm sitting in a gay sports bar in San Francisco watching the Canucks game. I wish we had a good gay sports bar back home.
Me and my boyfriend just went to a college hockey game earlier. When we left, it was 5-1 and it was a lot of fun being in the student section with all the obscene chants. "Gimme a 'D!' Gimme an 'I!' Gimme a 'C!' Gimme a 'K!' What's that spell? 'DICK!' What are we gonna do? 'Stick it in the net!'" Reason I love my boyfriend #7,869: There's nobody better to watch hockey with than a Canadian. On a side note, they played our school fight song, which goes, "Take the ball, make a score, win the game."
The Vanek trade was a good one for Buffalo, they can trade Moulson again at the deadline to accrue more picks. It would be a good trade for NYI as well, but only if Vanek wasn't planning to run to Minny so fast in the off-season that there is a cartoon dust cloud.
I like the trade a lot for the Sabres. They get two draft picks, and will likely turn Moulson into another first round pick. As for the Isles, I think it was a pretty dumb move for them, especially if Vanek doesn't re-sign (which I don't think he will).
