'96 Ford Taurus. My first and only car. Had it for about 3.5 years now. In almost perfect condition as it spent most of its earlier life sitting in a garage all the time, and I don't drive much when I'm at college.
My Doombox! Bought it brand new, and still enjoying it. It hauls my bikes and home improvement stuff from Homo Depot with ease. It's good stuff, and the last interesting car Honda made.
I drive a red 2002 Mazda Protege 5 and I'm totally in love with it. It's practically a race car and it's really good on gas and stuff too. I kinda want a SUV or something though.
HELL YES! thats we she's for, in the summer we got a bunch old dirt trails that we flood or we go out right after it rains real good, and we just tear through'em or we'll drive down to tennessee where they got some really good bogs and those are a lot of fun, mud flying everywhere people in ur truck screaming and just get'n cover'd in mud, its all around good fun. What else would we do with'm? other than haul'n stuff or driving in the snow.
1992 Honda accord with 230,000 miles. And a cracked windshield. And a plugged tire. She runs on hopes and dreams lmao
so what do ya'll think about this gas hike? well for those of you in the USA anyway i don't know about people in other countries, but i'm hear'n its supposed to get up to $5 a gallon what the hell
whats imo? in our defense we like big things, like that saying everythings bigger in texas' then again theres a song all my ex's live in texas' i don't know where i'm going with this
imo = in my opinion. hehe, did you know there's a cattle station (ranch) in australia that's bigger than the state of texas? hehehehe (most of it is probably barren desert though =P) [edit] oh wait, no it isn't. I've been quoting that for so long, too! it's bigger than Massachusetts though, haha http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna_creek_station
I drive a pair of running shoes and public transit. Don't even have a license. *gets booed out of thread*
Yeah, but you're in TO where you can get away with that sort of thing. I'd love to be car-light, but living in the D makes that pretty much impossible. The only place people are meant to walk in this town is to their car. This is my other ride, and the one on which I'll mitigate some of the damage of rapidly escalating fuel prices. Speaking of fuel prices, it's all bullshit. I don't mean that on the level of, "Grr the gas is high!" I mean that on the level of it's all POLITICAL bullshit. The price of oil right now is being driven up by Wall Street speculators that are realizing A) that Saudi Arabia's been lying about their oil reserves, and B) that want Barack Obama out of office and are trying to crash the economy so Obama can get blamed for it and voted out of office. There are no regulations on energy commodities trading, and these Wall Street types are doing the same shit they did in 2008 when they crashed the economy then, because they know they'll make money on it either way. If the price of gas were *legitimately* $5 per gallon or whatever, I'd deal with it and largely be fine with it. The fact that we're giving billions of dollars in subsidies to oil companies with our tax dollars, then the fuel is still high because those same people that are getting subsidies are gaming the commodities trading laws to make money speculating on the very energy they provide makes my blood boil. It's outrageous!
Volkswagon EOS. This color. You'll have to imagine the fuzzy 20-sided dice hanging from the rear-view mirror. What do I feel about gas prices? Unhappy, but not as much as most. I live within walking distance to work, and often walk. Now that the weather's warming up, I'd like to start taking the B-Cycles around town, and see if I'm interested enough to get a bike for myself. Lex
My Next car is going to be a VW Jetta TDI it gets like 40mpg but it can also get up to 50mpg I rather get that than an ugly Prius ew
Gas prices..blah! But, given the gas guzzler I drive I can't complain that much i guess. I wish I could bike to work, but freeways are not really bike friendly. I always take the Metro when I work in DC tho...so I'm doing my part
I scratched my passenger door either will have to putty it up and repaint or find a new door to install.
Y'all who aren't keen on the gas price increases, what do you reckon of this? http://www.economist.com/blogs/freeexchange/2011/02/energy_prices
