Seriously man... My biologicals sent out my Christmas package on the 10th. It was in Germany on the 12th. It cleared customs on the 16th. And then it sat and they did nothing with it. It FINALLY arrived in Bremen the morning of the 24th. My host-sister called DHL and they assured her it would be delivered. Guess what... it wasn't delivered. So I was told it could come today (Saturday). My host-mom just told me my package is sitting in the customs office in Bremen, and we can't pick it up because it's closed on Saturday. Which means I have to wait 2 more days for it. German's postal system epically fails.
You should see the French system... I work with 2 different postal systems and both have terrible flaws. But sometimes it's really really fast. Don't worry, that kind of stuff happens pretty often.
I posted a Christmas card to Martin on Saturday 13th December. It was delivered on 24th! I think most of the others I sent arrived within a few days.
Wow! Australia's postal system is godly compared to that. I posted a few christmas cards and they arrived on the same day!
i love the way it took two days to get from the states to germany, and another 17 (if things go to plan) to get to you.
thats terrible. the only things i hate about my mail is that it comes at random times. like one day ill get it at 12 the next at 5 and the same lady does the same route everyday. the second thing i hate is that it brings me bills...which is my own fault but i still hate it. haha
Sounds similar to the Canadian postal system.... I always thought that the German postal system is better than the Canadian.
Our street exists like in a time warp or something. Everyone else in our town always got their report cards and stuff fast and it took like 9 years for me to get mine.
Well it depends. For local post Australia's system is amazing. But for long-distance posting it can be a bit of a bitch sometimes.
Yeah, I delivered a package across America a few weeks ago. There's only like four parking spots in front of the post office, so after we park far away we go in and there's this long line. I didn't mind waiting, but where did all those people come from?? Maybe everyone carpooled, or else everyone happened to walk there from far away like we did ...at the same time...
You'd think the German postal system would work pretty well. Guess stereotypes are not always true. I am very thankful that we have a good postal system here in the US. We may have issues from time to time, but I can usually count on a package making it cross country in less than a week. I usually get packages from either cost in 2 or 3 days.
Well, it works really fine. You gotta know the rules. Like in Austria, nothing opens before 6.AM. Very strict in here.
