    WARNING SPOILERS FOR GEOGRAPHY CLUB!

You're right. That is what the first half of the book is about. IMHO the sequels are way better.

The book isn't that long, so just go out and read it. Its worthwhile.

This book isn't gay but it's soooo good the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer.
Do you think Barnes & Noble would have The Geography Club ?

    Twilight series upsets me.
    I am a certified vamp hater. .__.

And Barnes and Noble has it by order from what I've seen, only.

Why, is it just cause you wish you had a boyfriend like Edward, because I think ev'ryone who likes guys wishes they did. Besides the Werewolves are cool and Alice is the best character.

Just say you're borrowing any old book, something that you do want to read, and get the gay one along with it but don't tell her.

Here are a few of my favorites:

"First Person Plural" - [Probably Rated PG-13 or NC-17] It's about a pair of conjoined twin boys - one who's gay and one who's straight - and how they grow up, diverge from each other socially (but never physically), and compensate along the way. I loved this one! It's an amazing read and very original!

"The Year of Ice" - [Probably Rated PG-13] It's been a few years since I read this. It's about a boy that goes through a death in his immediate family and all the fallout from it. And, of course, there's a gay element to it too. It was good. In fact, it rated very high reviews from most critics.

"A Density Of Souls" - [Probably Rated PG-13] It's written by Anne Rice's son, Christopher Rice (who's gay). It's about a group of friends that grow up in New Orleans and the very complicated threads that bind them together. All these threads unravel by the end and there is a very dramatic finale and a shocking twist at the end. Awesome book!

"The Snow Garden" - [Probably Rated PG-13] Another Christopher Rice book. It's not a sequel to the last one, though. It's about a gay college student that starts a relationship with his teacher, but things spiral out of control when people start to find out both about the teacher's affair and the boy's very shocking past. Not quite on par with Density, but still good.

"Light Before Day" - [Probably Rated PG-13] The most recent Rice book. The gay element becomes even more subtle in this one. It's about a series of events revolving around the explosion of a meth lab that eventually leads to a killer. Pretty good too.

Those are the ones I could think of off the top of my head.

    I have been a member for a while now, but never actually posted anything.. I saw this topic and thought what better way to start. Here are my favorites;

    + Dream Boy [Jim Grimsley]

+ the World Of Normal Boys [K.M. Soehnlein]
(This is probably my favorite of the bunch,
it's a really great story, and my favorite book)

+ A Time Before Me [Michael Holloway Perrone]
+ Falling Into Me. (Sequel to 'A Time Before Me')

+ Freak Show [James St. James]

GayAuthors.org is a great place to find online stories.

Dan Kirk Is my absolute FAVORITE.

All of his stories of course have the gay element BUT that isn't the major focus... He deals with religion a lot. Not in the religious bashing type of way but the understanding and the different beliefs.

Dawn of Tears is my favorite. I suggest the WORLD read it.

I gotta go or I'd rant more about my love for this guys stories/books.

Lets see.... Dawn of Tears, The Bully, and Do Over all have things with religion that might help you...

    The bully is the shortest.
