I do not believe the possession of pictures makes one a pedophile any more than a therapist having a conversation with a minor child about the child's sexuality.
The accused must have some interaction and participation with knowledge of intent in the sexual interaction of a minor child or children by active solicitation or active involvement with that child or children.

 

The Catholic Church has a lot to answer for. In Ireland the Magdelene laundries flat out stole babies from unwed mothers who didn't want to give them up, while working the women like slaves. The industrial schools had nuns and priests beating the crap out of kids and for some things that wasn't the kids fault. Priests were using the schools as a hunting ground for victims because all the children in those schools were there if they had been mistreated by their parents or orphaned. The church in America would send priests do a different parish at the first hint of a scandal providing more kids to be assaulted. Who would worry about their kids being alone with a preist. The church covered for all the child abusers NDC pedophiles and has the nerve to tell gays they are going to hell. I do think possessing pornographic photos of children makes you a peodophile. Why else would you have them. If you have a sexual attraction to children you are a peodophile even if you don't act on it. Throw the guy in jail and see if his God who hates saves him.
