Well from a Biblical perspective we're already in the end times and the Beast system is here and still advancing (Beast is symbolic of a kingdom empire or system). Symbolically 6 is the number of man, so 666 really just means man controlling man in man's system and design. It's mentioned other times in the Bible but most think it has something to do with esoteric notions when it does not.

Most people are reasonable people. The great thing about our countries is that that're founded on freedom, but everyone is seeing that freedom slip away. Censorship, and a controlling of what people believe or follow or can say. Sacrificing freedom and privacy for 'peace' and 'safety'.

"Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape."

Most won't want a chip. Most don't want to go into a furnace. Most don't want to give out their names and address and Social Insurance Number etc. Most don't want to go to war. Most don't want to hurt people. Most don't want to oppress or create the poor. Most don't want to bother or offend their neighbour, peering into their business. Most don't want to control other's lives.

This is assuming these things are always choices. A quick look at history can tell how often people were against what their leaders, rulers, overlords had in store, but when you control the food resources and commerce you are king.

I would wager the majority of people would refuse a chip or any kind of imprinting or branding to be honest.

But if you enforce strict gun and weapon laws removing such things from the hands of the people; If you control how money works; If you control distribution; If you place heavy tariffs and penalties on cargoes and land; If you make it hard for the layman to have anything then who has everything?

It's just food for thought, but I understand your skepticism.
