Ive never felt paternal, if that's the right word, but think about it now. And if there was a way for a man to get pregnant, id have a child.

Hoo boy! In my country (India) it isn't beyond the scope for a lot of Men who perceive themselves to be Gay or Bisexual to feel more "masculine"and treat the other man in the relationship or hookup to be more "feminine". This is especially more clear when they call themselves "pure tops", a term I hate, which means they never like to be penetrated, they only penetrate others. This is a form of Male/Masculine power to them. In some case even straight men hook up with gay men to exert this "power" over them and they consider themselves still straight and that they're doing nothing wrong since they've been in a relationship or hooked up with a "women".

I've hooked up with men like these twice and both times I felt it was demeaning and I had no say in the matter. I can't be more descriptive, but they were treating me like a women, physically. Ignoring my penis and imagining I had vagina instead, treating my chest as if I had large breasts, saying they'd like to 'suck the milk out of them' like it would arouse me. No offense intended, but that just disgusted me, since I don't consider myself as feminine. I don't know why some men do that. But unfortunately in my limited experience (In India), I've come across men who call themselves Gay, Straight and Bi-Sexual exhibit such tendencies. Call it misinterpretation of their own sexuality, but it is what it is.

Apologies if anything written above was impolite, graphic or triggering.

Hey thanks for replying, I can see your point of view, I guess gay men's sexuality is quite fliud, myself I guess I'm a bit submissive, I not sure if I would like being femininised though, but I know I'm a bottom.

To be fair, many straight women also treat gay men like women (I've heard jokes about gay men being women with penises)

I wish there was an equally easy way to get people treat you like a guy... on a tangent...

They are and most of them think you want to go to bed with them, I mean I find bad lads kinda hot, but not homophobic ones.

Destin. We've never regretted our decision not to have children. Neither of us were much interested in reproducing ourselves and we always felt like the world just didn't need another human. But, everyone sees things a bit different.

I had always just assumed I wanted kids and so did my wife. But, after we were married a few years, we recognized that our lives could be complete without them. I think this is something that a couple learns together. So, until you have the right relationship, you might not even know how you feel. And, your career doesn't have to limit your ability to have kids. Several of my friends are docs and they find the time because it is a priority for them. You just have to get in the right sort of practice and specialty that would allow it.

I don't think they understand. They may think, every gay guy are feminine so they would treat one that way. You know like stereotyping, as they don't know that not all of us are the same.

Tbh I got the thing with “treating like I had a penis and no breasts” in sex etc., but I can’t really tell what was the reason for it, because I declared myself as a man from the beginning in that. I’m not sure if I mind it either way. I mean I don’t mind this and don’t mind being treated as a female bodily. But yeah, I am a dead set top, so it’s not that I have no preferences in those terms at all.

My opinion is that men should walk away from this. I don't think most would be okay with this. They'll do it if they see it's tolerated - "give an inch, take a mile."

I don't entirely blame them, as young LGBT are one of the most vulnerable populations, and high school can be brutal. Later on, it seems gay men and straight women more go their own ways, thanks to starting families, independence, maturity, etc.

I think it’s because they don’t have confidence in themselves so they need to try and make themselves feel better.

I do have to admit I love when men treat me like a women.

First off I love to go down and please them and when they are ready I like them to roll me over and treat me like a women. Nothing wrong with it we both get pleased..

I thought about this a little bit more and there's some truth to it. Younger LGBT folks may appreciate the camaraderie and put up with what they really don't want to put up to get it. As they get more self confident, they are able to wean themselves from it. The way that both men and some women who claim to be their friends treat them is controlling and belittling and LGBT people who mature need to redefine boundaries. It could involve walking away from these friendships.
