Like many many others, I came here seeking support and comfort. It'd be really nice to make some LGBTIQ people along the way too

I hit a certain point in my life, and began opening my mind to things I had closed it to in the past. This lead to heavy questioning of my sexuality, and I was falling apart. I felt like the earth was moving beneath my feet, and I desperately needed support. This place has been wonderful for staying those earthquakes. I've also enjoyed connecting to others who are going through the same thing. I'm very happy to have found EC and the friends I've made here, so far.

Back in 2011 I came here for support. I'm in a much different place now than I was back then. Back then, I was a lot angrier. But I returned to comment on a news topic and perhaps to change my username. Kamina isn't really "me" anymore. I was thinking wither Shulk or Fluttershy.

why I'm here?..well..to find some comfort? to convince myself that it's okay to be me (a lesbian). I have a hard time living in closeted life in a homophobic society.

When I came here I was out to one person, and she wasn't a lesbian. I was happy with telling her but she couldn't relate, she dudnt newest and how difficult it really was to come out yo someone and while looking for coming out stories I stumbled upon EC. Jung out here reading things for a while but I joined and got to meet other members of the LGBT+ community

As an upper-middle class, conservative, middle-aged man, there are not a lot of places to find help. In my search for a support group, I found this site. I was on here in November 2013 when I came out to myself and "came out, came out" on January 6, 2014. So it's been a little more than a year that I've been here. The love and support I found here I'll always treasure. You've opened my mind to so much diversity of thought and people. EC has been a source of help and healing, and dare I add laughter.

Originally to seek support I was in denial and thought porn was making me gay. Than deleted account and started lurking. Eventually made new account and stuck around.

I came because I was lonely. And I was looking for some answers, which I think I found. xD

Like many others I had questions that neither I or anyone I knew would know. So I did some searching for support on lgbtq groups and find this little haven. And I've loved it since.

I was looking for help coming out to my parents. The bonus to me was reducing my transphobia as I became properly educated.

I came here looking for people who could relate to my feelings. My friends have been my biggest supporters, but there is stuff they just don't get (because they are all straight), although they do try.
It's been just a few days, but it feels nice to be understood.

I came here to ask advice about this person I am seeing online. Now, I feel like I need more than that. I keep on coming back in EC because the people here are just AWESOME and fun to talk to. I also keep on coming back here because I love helping others who are in need.

An identity crisis three years ago forced me to question my orientation and gender and everything else, which then led me to threads here, but I didn't register until late last year when I started questioning my orientation again. I posted in one thread in the anonymous forum over the course of a week. Thinking I was happy and had answered all my questions I moved on to other things. But the aftershocks from the initial identity crisis didn't go away, and when I had another one last month I realised I wasn't being honest with myself, and further I kept putting off asking the hard questions because I was terrified of what I would find and the potential implications of those discoveries. Tired of being sent back to square one, I decided it was time to take the bull by the horns, create a new account and post openly. It won't be an easy or painless road, but I'll get there eventually.

Someone cited a quote from an user's signature. I checked some threads about bisexuality and found them very relatable.
