Whould you be a good president?

What do you mean by "good"?

I'm not very well informed on how our government even works, so I wouldn't know what to do, plus I'd be epically overloaded with work I don't know how to do. I would get very little done. I think I would do well playing politician though. I would be tactical and tactful and say as little as possible with as many words as possible.

All I'd have going for me in actually getting stuff done would be my radical left-wing opinions and sheer force of will.

So I'd make a terrible president. :icon_bigg

 

Potentially a member of Congress or a Presidential Cabinet, but I don't think I'm cut out to be President, to be quite honest.

A. I am not, and will never be, eligible to be US president
B. Even if I was, nobody would vote for me.

Maybe. I can put on a good show but I don't know a lot about politics. Almost everything I know about politics is from books and video games!

 

Haha no. I mean, I have the right ideals (even though I'm sure everyone would say that), but I'm bad at making decisions and that job would be way to difficult for me

 

What constitutes a good president? Public opinion? Yeah I wouldn't be too good keeping a good public opinion, even if I did things right. Therefore, I wouldn't make a good president.

 

I'd probably be known as a crazy tyrant who killed herself out of guilt later...

So nah. Plus I'm not a fan of holding a lot of power. ^^

 

I would be.

Instead of paying out favors I'd fill my cabinet with people qualified to do the job. for example, my secretary of state would be a well established diplomat with some experience in the military. So they would be in a good position to negotiate with and speak to other countries, but also understand our military and strategies.

I would also fight hard against congress to push progressive legislation, I'd break up the big banks, and I'd put in a Justice who is willing to overturn Citzens United.

My tax policy would close up all the loopholes the wealthy take advantage of. I'd impose a stricter tax policy on the top 1%, and I'd use that money to give us universal healthcare as well as an education that was affordable.

I'd also talk with top experts about how to fix our public schooling system, and find a suitable replacement for standardized testing. I would probably even cut from our military budget a bit in order to fund some 'hands on' educational projects. Maybe like a summer camp type deal where kids could attend ( for free ) and do some hands on learning.

lol nope. Im too lazy. I would be a great guy to sociolize with other leaders in order to get allies I think. Im super social lol

 

I'm best suited for legislative work, so I'm sure I'd do just fine. Now if you want to talk approval ratings, I'd be despised by the left and the right. I'm not liberal enough for the ever-growing Bernie Sanders wing of the Democratic Party and I'd most certainly be loathed and hated by the right.

It's hilarious that people think Sanders is this crazy left-wing guy. When you look at international politics you find very quickly that Bernie is actually a centrist. There are people way to the left of Bernie Sanders. The problem in the U.S. is that our entire political system has shifted so far over to the right that a centrist like Sanders is a crazy leftist by our standards.

Basically

Bernie - Center

Clinton - Center-right

Boner (lol ) - Right

Trump - Far right

Cruz - Stupidly far right to the point it hurts.


We don't actually have a left in the United Sates. We range from center-right to far far right

 

I'd love to! Just not sure how long the country would last....ha.
