Who's you're favorite parent?

If I had to choose, I would say my mum as I am closer to her and she gives great advice. But things are difficult at the moment so it's hard to know how I really feel about anything parent related!!!

 

Definitely my mother I can't stand my dad.

 

My relationship with my Mom is less complicated.

I've become kind of distant from my family in many ways since I moved away. I talk to them by phone almost everyday but being away as a young professional has been different compared to being away while in college.

 

*sigh I hate choosing favorites, but I guess it's my mum. I'm more comfortable around her and we have a very open relationship I tell almost everything that is happening.

 

My mom, definitely. Although a lot of times I can come off as dismissive toward her, she is undoubtedly one of my favorite people in this world -- which, if she knew that I typed this out, it'd probably make her cry. She was the one who reached out to me when I was depressed, and at first it bugged the shit out of me, but now I realize that she has saved me. I love her so much. If I am to have a daughter, I would like to name her after my mother (Susan!).

 

I would have to say my mom. She's always been there for me and was the only one who really helped me when I was having serious problems growing up. Even as she was dealing with her own mental illness and physical disabilities, she kept it together enough to raise me. If it weren't for her I'd likely be an emotional wreck and not accomplished anything with my life. She's never judged me and has fully supported me in my sexuality. She's helped to make me the person I am today.
