Where did you meet your partner/ex?

Which one? 1st one at school, 2nd at work, third online.

 

I met my first, now ex, on a dating site. I met my current BF while playing SWtOR.

 

I hosted a forum on my server for a new IRL friend. I had a bad dysphoric night one night and just so happened to talk to the only other trans person I'd ever seen until that point. She'd just started HRT and I'd just self-medded a bit of the same stuff to stave off depression and suicidal tendencies. we hit it off better than we could have imagined, and then I figured why not visit some internet friends before I decide to want to die again, so I saved up enough money and did that. Once I got home again I packed up only what was the most important to me and some necessities like clothes and came back, basically adopted by her family at 19. It's been 7 1/2 years now, and I'm finally transitioning too even though getting the money to do it with financial responsibility never came.

 

Met mine in a church, which is kinda ironic since most churches condemn us. I was dancing in the hall and he said he liked my moves. One thing led to the other and ewe were making out...inside the church hall not minding if we were caught, Lol! We broke up tho but we see each other someday so it's all good

 

Most at school, I met my current boyfriend here.

 

I will speak on my last long term relationship that I've had prior to his death. I was new to the community which was known for it large gay population and I went to one of the most popular gay clubs within that community. Since at that time I only knew a couple of the bartenders and the house DJ...I used to stand in a dark corner and whenever the bartenders would catch a break or walk pass me...they would have a little chat with me or hug me and go about their way. This one night..this small group of guys came in and you can tell that they had been bar hopping and the night had been a good one for them.

However, it was this one really hot guy who was staring towards the corner that I was standing in. I was not sure initially if he was looking at me until he had gotten up close to me. Once he approached me...he had said "I told my friend that tonight ...I was going to meet the man of my dreams"...I just laughed and rolled my eyes and he started laughing. Right then...he put his arms around me and gave me this huge kiss. Since he was a great kisser...I allowed it to go on much longer than I anticipated. Yet alone...I never had let a guy come up on me in that manner that I did not know or was familiar with. However, it was something about him besides being hot that struck a chord within me. Once the kiss was over...he whispered in my ear that he did not know exactly when it was going to happen but rest assure that he and I will be boyfriends and have a wonderful life together....and then he kissed me again and walked away.

To not go into more details of this story...we initially became best friends because whenever one of us was single...the other was in a relationship and therefore...we just focused on establishing a close friendship which was quite noticeable to anyone that saw us together. Needless to say...we wound up in a committed relationship for about six years prior to his passing.

My boyfriend is also my childhood best friend. We got together during our university years when I stayed over with him during Summer break... and I felt such joy spending a whole month with him that I started seriously considering that I'm gay and have feelings for him. It's now been 4+ years and I'm pretty happy at where we're at

My first GF was in high school, and my 2nd. The rest were in college, except for one, met at a club. My current S.O. was at a special interest club meeting, although we were never more than just friends for years, until we were both single and unattached. We just started hanging out one day together, enjoying mutual interests, and it blossomed into a relationship.

 

I met exes all sorts of places. My husband I met in a bar--I was actually there with an ex (already ex at the time).

 

First on the school bus, second in math class.

 

I haven't met him yet.

 

All of my exes I met online. One was on a dating site, another on an art site. Currently single now.
