    It sounds like you have things under control and it's great to hear you think the friendship is safe, maybe this ex has been informed about you from Brandon (positive things of course) and this ex now feels threatened after seeing you both appearing to be good, close friends again and he's took it the wrong way. Glad you both aren't taking notice of him, just continue the way you are and pay no mind to the ex and other peoples chattering because as I've said they'll be moving on to other 'hot news and gossip' soon that'll probably titilate them more than you and Brandon apparently being lovers.
