When I was a kid I was allergic to scented play doh? Regular play doh was fine, but when I played with scented play doh, it made huge red lumps form on my skin wherever it touched me.
I haven't played with it since so I don't know if this is still true for me.

Jokes aside, certain perfumes/colognes. I had to clear the room so many times in school growing up due to terrible headaches and the inability to breathe. My sister is allergic to pumpkins too, but that seems to have gotten mostly better with age.

I wouldn't say it's weird exactly, but it's on my medical file as a safety precaution. I don't know the name off the top of my head, but I had a negative reaction to a steroid pack I've been on for years for my chronic ear infections. The last time I took it maybe three years ago, I had heart palpitations and panic attacks for the two weeks I took them. It wasn't the best feeling in the world to be on edge from the moment I woke up to when I fell asleep.

I think I'm allergic to dust (I can't say for sure if that is weird or not).

I get contact dermatitis from Windex and citrus peels.

I have allergic rhinitis to cedar and ragweed and a few other common allergens. I am on daily Allegra from the end of winter till winter. An allergist once told me that if I wait to take allergy medicine (antihistamines) when the allergy is in full swing, it's too late and it will take my body at least a week to build blood serum level to optimal (and I will be miserable for a whole week). When allergies first hit me, I literally feel like if I have the cold or flu. I just want to stay in bed, light bothers me, I am unproductive.

I had a really bad allergy to estrogenic foods as well as my own. Really bad body odor, swelling, sweating, etc. I seem to be getting a lot better, thankfully. I still try to play it safe and avoid estrogenic foods. I also only seem to get my period after eating really estrogenic foods, which is very interesting. Oh, and an allergy to dairy.

I'm not allergic to anything, but I do have a friend who is allergic to marijuana. (she didn't smoke it, she got tested for allergies and it was on the list) We tease her about it all the time!

    Hello,

I used to have finches when I was small. I don't think you would call it an allergy but we got various kinds of bird food and one particular mixture did not mix well with me. I kept sneezing whenever I was around it. I rarely sneeze around certain things though. I wonder what it was, if there was a certain thing in there that made me sneeze that I haven't encountered since. Maybe it went away once I got used to it. Who knows.

Now I'm googling searching things that make people sneeze. A WikiHow article titled "3 Ways to Make Yourself Sneeze" came up and it has 16 votes with a 39% rating. Huh.

Also, why is making yourself sneeze a thing? Who would want to do this? Who has this kind of time to be going around trying stuff to make themselves sneeze? I mean, the reasons it lists include "getting a sneeze out of your system before you . . . greet your date." That's really odd. Does anyone relate to consistently needing to sneeze before you do something so much that you have to plan for it?

    Bee

Hmmm for me it'd be apples and pork. When I eat apples I feel tingling and swelling of my lips. For pork, I just get nauseous. It sucks because I love pork but now I can't because I'll just feel sick ;; Raw apples I just strongly dislike but I don't mind eating apple sauce or drinking apple juice, though.

I don't know if this is "weird" or not, but I am mildly allergic to melons, especially cantaloupe and honeydew. I get a tickle in the back of my throat that spreads to my ears.

At one point, I was allergic to the sun. I don't know if it's still a thing, but I used to get hives on my back and neck if I was out in the sun too long.

I have a weird nut and fish allergy. I can eat almonds and hazelnut but everything from walnuts to peanuts makes my throat close up. I can eat shellfish like shrimp and crab, but anything with fins triggers my asthma or make my throat swell up. I always felt left out be a I couldn't have peanut butter and jelly, I discovered on accident I could have almonds. I cried from joy because it was a childhood dream come true to eat almond butter and jelly sandwich. So it was close enough.

Only allergies that I know of is Penicillins, specifically amoxycillin. Given that 10% of people are allergic, and how many people in this thread are allergic, I would say that's "normal" and not really "weird".

You're most likely experiencing polymorphic light eruption.
