What's the best non-sexual sensation ever?

Standing on the edge of the Blyde River Canyon on a clear night, never felt more peaceful or more alive.

 

Solo travelling.
Or getting lost with friends in a new city.

 

Love this, though everyone thinks I'm crazy for travelling solo.

As far as non-sexual physical sensations goes, nothing beats a good back or foot massage. Off-trail running is a close 2nd.

 

Similar to yours: driving at night, in the rain, in total quiet except for some soft music. This is especially magical when you're going across the country (which I've done, multiple times). To me, it's pure bliss.

 

Beating a video game for the first time- there's nothing like a sense of accomplishment to make me stop thinking about my life problems.

 

That tingle that shoots up your spine when you slip on a wet floor, but don't fall.

The heaving sigh of relief that your entire body emits upon laying down after a hard day's work.

Climbing into a freshly made bed with clean sheets tucked tightly beneath the mattress.

Starting a new book. Or re-reading an old favorite.

Watching the final episode of a TV show.

Serenely slurping a heaping portion of Spaghetti Carbonara.

Telling a really funny joke.

Having a clean house/room.

Competing a daunting task. (Fixing something on your own.)

That feeling the day after a hard workout (as if you're an elastic band stretched to the point that it's structure weakens and those dry-crack lines appear.)

Being right.

Getting a job.

Winning an auction.

Hearing "I love you."

Saying "I love you."

Cuddling with a pet.

Hot chocolate on a cold day.

The smell of the rain.

Buying something for yourself.

Getting shocked (electrically, and obviously not a fatal amount of electricity, just a zap).

Revisiting old memories.

 

Listening to a nice rainfall while laying down in bed.

 

Swimming downriver in silkly, slightly muddy water (in a river with no pike!)

 

The feeling I get when I listen to a song that I really love, it's hard to explain actually

Slipping between clean sheets after a shower.
