What Turns You OFF?

Bad manners, bad hygiene, and rudeness turn me off~ and of course, bigotry, racism, homophobia, anything like that.

 

Flakiness
Inconsistent
Poor hygiene
Rudeness

 

It really depends how much I like the person. Bad personal hygiene would probably make me very hesitant to ask someone out, but if I really liked them then it wouldn't stop me because it's something they could easily change.

Politics is an area where I could be easily turned off... but again if I liked them enough it might not make the relationship a no-go... would just mean we couldn't talk about politics without a referee present rofl.

General turn offs at the 'getting to know you' phase:

sexism, racism, superficiality, stupidity, boring ideas about sex, hating animals, hating my family, hating books, listening to pop music, hates art, snobby, always bad mouthing the work/accomplishments of other people to make themselves look better, bad attitude towards vegetarianism.

 

People who complain all the time. People who ask no questions of you and make no effort to interact with you. When they are distracted by their phone all the time!

 

Arrogance and extreme vanity (like people who check themselves out at every reflective surface they walk past)

 

This. Self absorbed/obssesed people are the biggest turn off for me.

 

Same goes for me. Also, being too talkative and being rude.

 

If the fact that I am divorced and have a young child from that marriage bothers them. Also shallow and over presumptuous people who think that just because I agreed to go on a date with them means that I am going to sleep with them.

 

People with big egos, manipulative or aggressive people, those who step on others to get what they want, smoking, poor hygiene and people who think that they automatically have the right to sleep with you after the first date.

 

Snobbiness, ignorance, trying to act cool in front of me and not being themselves

 

Bad hygiene is my number one turn off.

 

I am sorry I cannot resist but calling someone a jesus freak is just as worse as a bigot calling someone a faggot! Not that I would date a non believer anyway but I would never call them a despicable name because of it. IT is hypocritical and wrong. Bigotry is bigotry.

 

To me "presenting" is the biggest romantic/sexual turnoff. Someone putting their stuff on display, expecting that alone will make me interested in them in any manner is icky. It always makes me think of apes.

 

Fairly comprehensive list so far ;p - I'll add guys whose arousal is conditional on being humiliated and disrespected.

 

Showing me pictures of your private assets, bad breath, arrogance, big egos, asking me for nudes, asking me for the measurement of my assets, loud people, there's a few more but I am lazy. Also don't bother if you're fake, just get out of my face and out of my country.

 

Dishonest, overprotective, overpowering, snobby, egotistical or just outright annoying guys

 

All of the above! And maybe if you don't like Disney... I kinda want to propose to my future wife at Disney... and if you don't... too bad...

 

• Smoking (not sure about vaping)
• History of drug abuse (possible exception for marijuana)
• Excessive alcohol consumption
• Impoliteness, inconsiderateness
• Willful ignorance and lack of curiosity
• Excessive religiosity, and a propensity for proselytizing (and this goes for "New Age"-type belief systems, too)
• Asian fetishism and weeaboo-ism
• Delusions of superiority (i.e. racism, classism, ableism, homophobia, fat-shaming, etc.)
• Vanity, narcissism
• Loquaciousness
• Fondness for gossip and prying into other people's business
• Strong body odor, habit of ignoring personal hygiene
• Preoccupation with sex, a history of sex crimes
• Propensity for violence, and a history of violent crimes

 

It's easier to make a list of turn ons considering people can be so much more particular and there's so much you can NOT like. I could make an utter list. Let's see...
-Lying
-Cheating or paying somebody else 10x more attention then me... sorry if you're my bf/gf shouldn't I be a big part to pay attention too? Not all but like I should be important
-Rude to me or to everybody
-No respect for me or my opinion even if you disagree
-Won't listen to me or hear me out
-Ignores me and plays mind games just to fuck with me
-Not openminded
-Kills people, robs, of abuses others in any way or form
-Uses me and especially when you think I want a threesome just cause I'm bi.... if we're commited I don't want another girl/guy touching you like that

I seem like I have a set of rules... I don't know if that's a bad thing

-Cant hold a convo with me
-Only wants sex
-Embarrasses me or hurts my trust
-Has nothing in common with me
-etc... could be more

Sorry, that seems like a long list. I just thought I should be completely honest. I mean if I love you tho, the heart wants what the heart wants. You just can't have these qualities
