What's the most annoying question? The 30th question a 3 year old asks you before breakfast

What are you thinking about? (Nothing! I'm just spacing out!)

    What can I do?

You know I'm just thinking out loud, right? (After a long shpeel [sorry, I can't spell that] about how she [my mom] doesn't understand or accept how it's possible for someone to be bi or pan or trans.)

    How old are you?

(*hug*) I think people are mainly talking about strangers doing it for small talk, or people they haven't seen in a while. There's nothing wrong with it as an icebreaker and a way to get to talking about more than that.

OT: "Why would you study that?" A question I get whenever I share my academic interests. Can't wait to get it in college :rolle:

The questions Kaiser has posted on here (Would you date a bisexual? and Would you become straight if you could?) come close to the most annoying for me.

I would love to post the one I find most annoying...but it gets posted here all the bloody time by people who seem to be honestly hurting, so I feel it would be insensitive to actually name it. *sigh*

"How are you?" Here in America, no one cares how you're feeling. No matter how you feel, you're supposed to say "good," and you'll both be on your way. In Sweden, where most of my family is from, if you ask someone how they are, they'll tell you! It doesn't matter if it takes 30 seconds or 5 minutes, they'll take the time to really talk to you.

It was sort of entertaining and quite cute when one of my cousins was here in LA and when people asked how she was, she would go through her whole afternoon for them. The look of panic on their faces! X) People here aren't really used to full answers like that.

    "Asl?"

And then a couple of responses down the road: "m or f?"

    "Where are you from?"

It was ok at first, but after being asked that question so many times, I'm sick of it! Most likely you will know shit about my country, and I know nothing of yours. I also stop caring where people are from. Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Russian, German, American, whatever, do you speak English (or maybe better, Vietnamese)?

    One more:

    Do you have a girlfriend?

    SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP!

Hang around for a week and you will see plenty of them here. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Seriously any question which is unnecessary, stupid and out right offensive to your intellect is annoying.

What are the directions? After having the directions been given several times, is the most annoying question.

I have to confess, I'm often guilty of the "How are you?" question -
but I just care about people and like people to be OK and happy.

The most annoying questions I've heard are.....
"What's it like to be Gay?"
and as people have said here....
"Are you gay?" (particularly when, as Antiquark puts it, it's said with an explanation mark)
"Would you become straight if you could?"
    As imnotreallysure has mentioned....
"Can I have sex with you?" (I get this a lot too and it is really annoying).
    As kageshiro has mentioned....
"Would you date a trans girl/guy?" (I haven't heard this one, but it would infuriate me).
    And, as Lawrence mentions....
"Are you a boy or a girl?"

    Grrrrrrr... :bang:

Isn't that usually the same as the 1st question they ask?

Though, I'll go with "Uncle <Confuzzled82>, are you a boy or a girl?" asked with a repetition rate of about 45 seconds while we're driving to someplace about an hour and a half away
